Everything is definitely fine today, let’s watch a cute animal livestream

Some days, you just need to tune out life. Normally, that may mean watching TV or losing yourself in videos on the internet. But what if life is extending into your sacred relaxing watching spaces? Well, instead of viewing that may or may not be more stressful, have you considered a cuteness live stream?
Now, I’m not saying our site needs to become PygmyHippoWatch [ed’s note: that’s a pretty unwieldy domain name], but can you imagine the level of cute from that brand? And what better way to continue on that path than to highlight two pygmy hippo livestreams available for your viewing pleasure. And if you’re surprised that there exists more than one live stream of baby pygmy hippos — have you even been paying attention?
The original to the livestream space is the beautifully sassy Moo Deng — catch her on the Zoodio Live platform channel. Moo Deng’s channel is available 24/7, but remember that Moo Deng is based in Thailand. Thailand operates on the UTC+7 timezone, 12 hours ahead of the US East Coast, so daytime for us is overnight for our beloved little pork dumpling of a baby hippo. Moo Deng’s camera highlights her outdoor enclosure where you can catch her romping, playing, and enjoying that gleeful, growing pygmy hippo life.
Next up is the last entry to the 2024 baby pygmy hippo roster! Baby Poppy at the Metro Richmond Zoo (of recent name-voting fame, RIP “Hammie Mae” option) also has a daily livestream available. Running from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern, PoppyCam is an overhead view of the indoor pool occupied by Poppy and mama Iris, with a highlight reel of adorable photos and clips to the right of the camera view and fun little facts rotating in the header. Poppy is still quite small, so seeing her bobbing along next to Iris is truly adorable.
Take care of yourselves today, friends. Hydrate, stay warm, and be good to yourself (and each other).
