The Queue: What a long strange trip its been

It’s hard to believe, but Blizzard Watch turns ten years old — this very day!
That’s like at least three Warcraft expansions, maybe even four!
Along the way, we’ve been to BlizzCon, covered games developed by Blizzard, and branched out into other spheres and mediums. I think it’s likely that we’ve had millions of words added into our little slice of the gaming and nerd worlds, and almost twenty thousand articles (if the number I’m looking at in the back end is right). We’ve seen faces come and go, and friends come and go, even the owners have changed! But along the way, we’ve always stuck close to our principles of covering the things in the gaming and geek spheres that we’ve been passionate about.
So I’d like to propose a toast, of whatever your favorite beverage of choice is — here’s to all of you fine folks reading this who’ve contributed to making this a great place to be nerdy together. We wouldn’t be here without you, and I know I’m speaking for all of the other writers here and that we’re very thankful you are.
So without further ado, day one of the next ten years! Let’s Queue!
Druid Q4tQ: Why does Stampeding Roar not break Stealth? How quietly are we roaring?
It’s not about the loudness of the roar that gets people moving. I know that every cat owner out there knows how quickly they move when they hear the unmistakable sounds of their cat getting ready to throw up somewhere.
The next part of the equation involves moving the cat onto something that’s easier to clean before it’s too late. I’ve had mixed success with this part myself. Certainly many times I’ve gotten him onto the linoleum, but there was also that one time where I only managed to scare him up the stairs…
I had to clean so many stairs.
Listened to the Blizzard Watch podcast this afternoon, and had an enjoyable laugh at the food and closet questions from Cory. And since he normally does the Queue on Monday, I have a question for him:
What’s the craziest THING you’ve ever done.
Proof of mine (getting ready to jump off a 30 ft telephone pole)
I’ve been bungee jumping, ziplining, rafting in choppy water, deep sea fishing, not deep sea fishing, winter and not winter tubing, jumping off of diving platforms, rappeling down the side of a massive climbing structure, SCUBA diving in Thailand — I dunno what the craziest thing would be anymore. I’ve never managed to go sky-diving, but it may still happen someday. I know at least that there’s an indoor sky-diving place nearish to me.
I’m pretty on board with wild and crazy things.
What’s the food you’d most like to drink?
Well as I’ve been continuing my Wyrd Beer adventure, I’ve now had an Animal style burger ale topped with an onion, lettuce, tomato, and pickle garnish. Which was uh, pretty weird! I don’t know that I really wanted to drink a burger, but now I’ve drank something very similar and I can cross that off of the list.
Maybe a nice peanut butter cake drink? That’s basically just a peanut butter milkshake with cake bits in it. That almost feels like too much of a copout though. Milkshakes are delicious, even when you get experimental with flavors.
We weren’t brave enough to try the macaroni and cheese ice cream, but maybe a macaroni and cheese drink would be palatable. Cheese is delicious, and can be liquidy.
I don’t know that I can choose something that I love, maybe I have to go to the opposite end of the spectrum and say that I want a nice pickle drink with extra celery and cilantro? Maybe all of those green things combine into a super drink that would make me millions from fitness influencers. I just need to get the Rock to drink one.
Happy birthday, Queue!
So glad to share WoW with you
I wrote a haiku!
What a great haiku!
You didn’t even cheat using

Always remember
in the Queue we are all one

Q4tQ Any plans for the weekend?
I’m going to a rock concert, with my favoritest person! We’re going to go see Dear Rouge. We saw them back in the summer at an outdoor festival and I was quite taken by them. So they’re going to join the club of artists that I’ve seen more than once live. Which isn’t a large club, it might just be them, Alan Doyle (if I’m counting seeing Great Big Sea, which I am), and The Protomen. Evanescence was almost on that list but their tickets were so expensive, and then not expensive after I’d already made plans for that weekend.
This week you’re all lucky enough to see this amazing sketch that my most favoritest person drew of Bacardi. She really captured his essence and sassiness. Is booping it going to be as lucky as booping an actual picture of Bacardi? We’ll find out, I know that I’ve already gotten a top-tier reward from having seen it, so probably!

Have an excellent week friendos, here’s to the next ten years!
