Brann’s fashion sense is bringing a Hataclysm to Delves in season 2 of The War Within

With The War Within patch 11.1 Undermine(d) arriving, we are moving into Season 2 Delves. This season, Delve fans can look forward to two new Delves — Excavation Site 9 and Sidestreet Sluice — a new customizable mount called The Delver’s Gob-Trotter, and our travelling companion Brann taking up a tanking role.

But what could lead everyone’s favorite archaeologist to take up the shield and go all in on a fight? Why that would be the dastardly Goblin, The Underpin, stealing his signature hat — along with our season 1 abilities.

Filling the role of Zekvir this season, The Underpin will be the over-arching story in the Delves as we regain our powers and more importantly, find new hats for Brann. As we progress, we will be able to have Brann swap around found headwear and have a chance to earn the new feat of strength, The Hataclysm. You will need to have to have Brann swap his hat ten times after recovering it the first time from defeating The Underpin, though at this time we do not know what kind of level or other requirement this may have.

There are other changes coming to Delves. Delver’s Bounty maps have had their chance of dropping increased, while having a weekly cap set at one map. This increases the likelihood of extra loot at least once a week. Tier 9, 10, and 11 in season 1 did not offer any increase in loot. This season they will be offering increased runed crests, with tier 11 also offering Gilded Stashes offering bonus loot up to 3 times a week.

But, with all this new stuff coming soon, be sure to get your Zekvir kills in now. With the end of season 1, he will be going away — along with the achievement Let Me Solo Him. This is your last chance to obtain the void skin for your Delver’s Dirigible. Once he’s gone, he’s gone — and the hunt for Brann’s phenomenal headwear will commence.

Patch 11.1 Undermine(d) arrives February 25, with Season 2 beginning March 5.
