How to unlock the new Warband campsites in World of Warcraft patch 11.1

One of the most exciting features of World of Warcraft: The War Within was the introduction of Warbands, which (among other things) show off our favorite characters sitting around a campfire at login. Patch 11.1 will add to this character select screen, with the ability to set different background scenes — or campsites — for your characters to hang out in. Blizzard is adding four more campsites in patch 11.1, as well as a new campsite menu on the character select screen to pick your campsite and which of your characters will appear there. You can also now divide your Warband into groups, and each group can have its own virtual home with a different campfire scene (or you can just pick your favorite and use it for all of your characters).

But not all of these campsites will be available to everyone: some will be unlocked through achievements. So if you need to bring something new to your Warband screen, here’s how to unlock every campsite in WoW patch 11.1.

Adventurer’s Rest

This is the default scene that was released in The War Within when Warbands were first introduced. Everyone will have this scene, and it will be the default scene assigned to any new Warband group.

Ohn’ahran Overlook

A callback to the Dragonflight zone, this campsite will be unlocked for everyone when patch 11.1 launches.

Cultists’ Quay

This campsite is unlocked by completing the Season 2 Delver’s Journey. Once you’ve completed the journey, you can buy the campsite from Reno Jackson for 10 Resonance Crystals. (In some places you may see this referred to as the Nightfall Sanctum Campsite, an earlier name for the campsite.)

Freywold Spring

If you’ve been playing The War Within, you may have already unlocked this campsite by completing the meta-achievement All That Khaz, which comprises the following sub-achievements:

Gallagio Grand Gallery

This campsite will be unlocked by completing the achievement Going Goblin Mode, which comprises the following sub-achievements based in the new Undermine zone:

How to track your campfire collection

If you want to see which campsites you’ve unlocked, or the criteria for unlocking them, you can view your campsites in the Collections tab. Like any other World of Warcraft collection, you can choose to favorite items in this menu.

Though there are still only a few campsite options, Blizzard has previously indicated that more scenes will become available in the future. If you aren’t happy with the options in patch 11.1, just wait, because it sounds like even more are on the horizon.
