The Queue: I am a Negative Man

It’s March 6th, and an ocean of darkness comes to drown the world.

This is the Queue, and from this lone promontory of land stabbing out into the quivering abyss, we can but delay our imminent madness with diversions of light woven into stories. Hope is fleeting, life is transient, we watch the suffering of those we love helpless to prevent it. Shackled by beliefs that do nothing to hinder others from bringing doom and harm to everyone, we can but watch the next wave building. Soon like Atlantis we will be dragged beneath endless heavy tons of water.

I am a negative man, but we are not under the waves yet. So let us talk while we yet have time.

ARTHONOS

The Queue is far too quiet tonight.

If you listen with an ear attuned to the liminal space we are currently enduring, you can hear wood creaking, preparing for its blight.

I was writing! Fanfic doesn’t make itself, you know. :P

Doesn’t it? Just as a cell infected by a virus makes more of the virus, your brain has generated more of a story not your own, telling tales of lives you did not origi8nate. Just as one could call that virus its own author, the original story you consumed has battened upon you, and rather than ingesting it for your own you have been turned into its incubation chamber.

One could argue that the fanfic DID write itself, and you are the blank page it used to do so.

However, I do not. You wrote it. Just as before the rise of modern intellectual property laws many would craft tales on heroes and legends, why should you be hampered in creating new tales? Your fanfic is indeed a spore erupting from the fruiting body of your brain, but without you, this particular spore never would have been emitted.

A world first kill of Mythic Gallywix was logged, and recorded on the Hall of Fame board. However, as the actual RWF groups are for the most part still working on killing Vexie and Rik (ie the first two bosses of the instance), and the people with this Gallywix kill were only at 1/8M themselves (that being Gallywix), it was clear that some form of cheating or exploitation was involved.

Blizzard investigated, and found the culprits had used the exploit to activate what I assume is essentially a developer spell/ability to insta kill bosses (ie something similar to the item used in the Martin Fury incident years back), and that Gallywix was killed in this fashion.

Action was taken, and the Race resumes.

What’s worse, that they cheated to kill a boss at all, or that they didn’t even think to use the same exploit to kill everything else in the raid to perhaps keep people from immediately realizing something was up?

It’s hard to say, but they would have been caught regardless. So I have no choice but to shake my hoary head in resigned disbelief.

JALAMENOS

As I walked past the guest room on the way to my bedroom after taking a shower, I could have sworn someone was sitting on the bed in the dark.
Now I’m too afraid to go back and look.

I had a headache.

KALCHEUS

Q4tQ Is the Kajamite-treated Black Blood too op? It seems like instant disintegration should be nerfed for balance reasons.

I remember insta kill Snails in Throne of Thunder. It’s fine.

THOMAS STRANGE

I mean I would be here for an entire column about proposed classes and class designs.

In this article I will explain why every class has been removed from the game and replaced with Barbarian, Fighter, Warrior, Dreadnaught, Destroyer, Gladiator, Shocktrooper, Lancer, Man-at-Arms, and The StabberCrusher.

StabberCrusher is OP, BTW, needs nerfs.

Okay, that’s the Queue for today. Remember, Godzilla is a giant kitty.
