We just have a quick hour of WoW maintenance today — servers back online!

It’s maintenance day for World of Warcraft, but today’s downtime shouldn’t be too bad, no matter which version you play. All WoW servers are scheduled for a quick one-hour maintenance this morning, and should be back online soon, assuming no issues.

Here’s the maintenance schedule for Tuesday, May 6:

  • The War Within: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
  • Cataclysm Classic: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
  • WoW Classic (including Classic Era, Season of Discovery, Anniversary, and Hardcore realms): Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)

All WoW servers are back online!

If you need something to do while you wait, you could sign up for the next Wildgate community playtest, which is happening this weekend. If you’ve signed up before, you’re still on the list for an invite so you don’t need to sign in again. And if you got into the last playtest, you’ll be in on this one too. This upcoming game from Mike Morhaime’s Dreamhaven studio looks to be a fun outer space romp, and certainly worth giving a go if you have a chance — but playtest invites aren’t guaranteed and it looks like the team is updating its pool of testers gradually. Even if you don’t get in this week, there’s always next playtest.

But, for now, I’m just waiting on WoW to come back online. I’ll keep you updated on whether maintenance is extended and let you know when the servers come back online.
