All WoW servers are back online after a (mostly) speedy, (mostly) on time maintenance

Today’s maintenance is a short one, with all WoW servers planned to back online after the standard one-hour maintenance. That’s great news for The War Within players who have been stuck with a number of long maintenances lately. This one is quick enough that you probably won’t even notice it — the ideal maintenance. As long as it isn’t extended, but I have hopes it won’t be.
Here’s the maintenance schedule for Tuesday, May 20:
- The War Within: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
- Cataclysm Classic: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
- WoW Classic (including Classic Era, Season of Discovery, Anniversary, and Hardcore realms): Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
All World of Warcraft servers are now back online! The War Within servers extended maintenance for an extra hour, but came back online at about 8:20am pacific, so they weren’t long delayed.
This week in The War Within, Horrific Visions is launching (well, re-launching) as patch 11.1.5 features continue their slow rollout. I think it’s nice to have content spaced out like this, but I know some players who have been frustrated over the very limited content in the last patch. (And patch 11.1.7 is already on the horizon!) Whichever camp you fall in, you’ll have something new to do when the servers come back online.
With such a short maintenance, it feels almost pointless to recommend tasks to kill until the servers are back up, but perhaps you would be interested in watching some adorable videos of armadillos? I know, I was surprised this was a thing, too.
With the servers back online, maybe I’ll see you in Azeroth soon!
