It was lengthy maintenance for The War Within, but all WoW servers are now back online (early!)

Another Tuesday means another maintenance day in World of Warcraft, and modern players have another fairly long maintenance ahead of them. However, Classic players have the standard hour, so it’s a quick maintenance there.
Here’s the maintenance schedule for Tuesday, June 2:
- The War Within: Offline from 7am – 10am pacific (10am – 1pm eastern)
- Cataclysm Classic: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
- WoW Classic (including Classic Era, Season of Discovery, Anniversary, and Hardcore realms): Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
At least modern WoW players will be getting something new and interesting for the wait: Dastardly Duos, a new boss-fighting challenge, should be live in The War Within as soon as the servers are up. Blizzard has published a schedule, but the times listed are actually before the servers are scheduled to come online. I’m just going to assume that the event will be available whenever the servers are up, whether that’s early, late, or right on time.
If you need something to do while you wait, I would recommend checking out the demo of Tiny Bookshop, in which you run a bookshop that is tiny — it looks very soothing. It’s due out in August, but the demo just launched. If you’re looking for something more fantasy-based, you could pick up CraftCraft, a game in which you play the shopkeep in a fantasy world, and denizens come to you with unusual requests. You could also try before you buy and pick up the demo; I played the demo a while back and found it charming.
Servers are back online now, so off we all scatter to check our vaults. I’ll see you in Azeroth.
