The Queue: Taco Tuesday

Every time we decide it’s gonna be Taco Tuesday I am consumed by no other thought for the rest of the day. I need to go to the store and get some avocado, possibly some lime. I am already hungry, I will be hungry until dinner, and I cannot wait.
This is The Queue, our daily column where you ask us questions and we cannot promise we aren’t sprinkling cumin on the answers.
Q4tQ: are you going to play the new Diablo IV season? If so, what class?
I’ll be playing, because I like being able to log in and destroy a bunch of demons for a week or three before setting the game aside again. I’m thinking about going rogue this time, and making myself do melee instead of ranged, because I played ranged before and I want to see what melee is like. Or I might finally play a druid, which I’ve never done.
Honestly, I try every season to start fresh with Diablo 4 and get into it, but I just get that feeling of being hopelessly lost and behind and confused so I drop it with the intention of getting into it again next season. It started with season 1, even. I’d barely finished the narrative campaign from the base game, with its amazing, sweeping cinematics and phenomenal performances, when I was supposed to just drop my Rogue and start over seasonal. Ever since it’s felt like that one day in fourth grade when I missed the beginning of long division, or that time in 9th grade when I missed a week of Latin so I never felt like I truly grasped 2nd conjugation verbs.
But maybe this will be my season.
Exceptionally dumb question for The Queue….
I have been thinking of leveling a Pandaren character over on the Classic side of things, to take advantage of that promotional Jade Serpent mount for my retail toons. I never play Classic, so I’m not sure which available version I need to install–I’m guessing Cataclysm?
Yep! MOP Classic will spin up from Cataclysm Classic, but will eventually spin into MOP Classic in the drop-down. But for later today (maybe already today by the time this goes live?) make sure you have Cata Classic loaded, and then pre-loaded, and ready to go.
Q4TQ: It was always said that Blizzard would never no Classic WoW servers, that no one would ever come along and buy Activision/Blizzard, that Blizzard would never do player housing in WoW, but here we are. The only big thing left seems to be WoW on game consoles. How long do to think it will be until that happens? I’m guess is that we’ll hear something from them within a year. Disclaimer, I think it would be great for WoW if it came out on game consoles.
Considering the XBox and Game Pass of it all, it doesn’t seem an impossibility. Add in the new single-button rotation, and you’ve got an evolving recipe for WoW on console.
The only thing in WoW that I don’t ever see truly coming to pass is the ol WoW 2. Even that has an asterisk, because I feel as though we’ve already passed that benchmark many times over, from systems to graphics overhauls — it just hasn’t been called that, which is a distinction without much of a difference. But the real dividing line there would be a forced reroll where I’d have to get all my mounts and pets and achievements and — god forbid — transmogs all over again. If that would come to pass, it would probably just be another raccoon shoved into the WoW trenchcoat.
I need an extra day in the week reserved solely for playing video games.
