This week’s free games from the Epic Games Store are Figment and Backpack Hero

We’re back to a duo of games given to us for free this week from the Epic Games Store: an organization game, and a Hades-style action adventure game.

As someone who keeps every single stick I pick up and a stack of 99 potions just in case, Backpack Hero is my own little slice of hell. It’s a roguelike where your efficacy in the dungeon part of gameplay depends directly on how well you organize your bags — which is always the case, technically, I suppose.

Figment is as imaginative as its name would suggest, with environments based in imagination and a fun, evocative story. It’s tough to describe exactly what the gameplay entails — it’s a bit like a cozy, forgiving Hades, but with additional puzzles to solve and environments to explore. It has a phenomenal soundtrack as well.
