So we heard you liked maintenance… modern WoW servers were offline for an hour this morning, but are now up and running!

Surprise! The War Within realms are down for an extra one hour maintenance today, but servers are now back online. Blizzard hasn’t given us a specific reason for today’s downtime, but we can assume it’s related to patch 11.2. While the patch launch was relatively smooth, it did come with a few problems, including an easy exploit for killing Nexus-Princess Ky’veza (which Blizzard hotfixed yesterday) and a somewhat buggy world boss (which was nerfed yesterday).

But whatever the reason, modern WoW servers had some bonus Friday downtime. Here’s the maintenance schedule:

• The War Within: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)

All Classic servers remained online, so if you need something to do you can always spend some time in Mists. (At least that’s my favorite way to kill time lately.)

But you probably didn’t have to: severs came back online as scheduled, and you can jump back into (modern) Azeroth right now. I’ll see you in game!
