Snag a free level of K’aresh Trust renown with some simple exploration

The War Within patch 11.2 is finally here, and we’re already into the swing of things even before Season 3 officially launches next week. Of course, there are tons of new things to collect and to do, one of which is earning Renown with our new faction, The K’aresh Trust! We have a little trick to grab an extra level of Renown as you’re playing through the campaign quest, which works great  as you’ll be traveling across the broken lands of K’aresh anyhow, and this is so extremely easy you’ll want to do it now while Darkmoon Faire is in town.

The secret to this free level of K’aresh Trust renown is completing an achievement: Secrets of the K’areshi.

While you’re out wandering the shattered homeworld of the Brokers and the Ethereals, you may notice that occasionally you’ll wander past a table or a wall that has a note that’s glowing with that wonderful interact-with-me gold color; these are the things you need to collect to finish the achievement. There are only ten to collect, some of which have some really interesting lore implications, while others are, uh, cookie recipes that seem to be missing some instructions. If you care about the game lore you should take the time to read through them, especially as you don’t pick up a physical item — though I will say that Wowhead’s guide on doing this has screenshots of all of the lore pages should you miss one and want to go back to reference what it said.

I should note that some of the items you need to collect for this achievement require you to have gotten to the point in the story where you get your Reshii Wraps, as you’ll need to be able to Phase Delve to get to the items. If you haven’t gotten there yet, don’t worry — this week’s main story ends right after you get the wraps, so just keep following along until you make it.

This entire thing works because every one of these collectables gives you 250 K’areshi Trust reputation, so it’s an easy 2500 reputation for just flying around and picking up a few items. Add in the fact that it’s Darkmoon Faire week, and you could snag as much as 2750 reputation! It’s only a little more than you’d get without it, but you sure do feel it when you’re 5 rep away from a level and you’ve finished all of your weeklies and have nothing left to do until reset.

So it’s time to get started hunting these items down! Here are the coordinates for each, which you can use if you have a map addon like Tomtom. (Gosh, I am so old that I remember when Tomtom was actually a thing you bought for your car. Excuse me while I turn to dust.)

DO NOTE: I Have Become Void!, Checklist of Minor Pleasures, Mysterious Notebook, Coins: An Oath We Exchange, Ba’key’s Aromatic Broker Cookies Recipes, and A Dog-Eared Book are all located within Tazavesh which has its own map with its own coordinates. Make sure you’re within the actual Tazavesh city map when you look up those coordinates, or you’ll find yourself wandering around lost.
