Now live! Mists of Pandara Classic Phase 2 release makes Landfall on September 23

Mists of Pandaria Classic‘s second phase of content, Landfall, is now live! . The first major content release since the expansion began with phase 1, phase 2 continues the expansion story and adds new activities for players to complete, new loot to chase, and even an optional graphics update. Here are the new features that came with the Landfall update:

• PVP Group Finder
• Gear upgrades
• High-Definition Texture update

The Mists of Pandaria Classic story continues with both Alliance and Horde players able to complete daily quests in the Krasarang Wilds zone. Completing these quests grants reputation for Operation: Shieldwall or the Dominance Offensive and opens up each faction’s respective quartermaster loot pool.

Killing rares for these quests also has a chance to drop a Blood-Soaked Invitation which you’ll need to gain entrance to the Brawler’s Guild. Invitations can also be sold on the Auction House or transferred between guildmates. The Brawler’s Guild gives you a chance to fight bosses in one-on-one combat. There are seven attainable ranks to move through with plenty of rewards earned at each level. Horde fighters can queue up at the Brawl’gar Arena in the Valley of Honor, Alliance scrappers should make their way to Bizmo’s Brawlpub in Stormwind’s Deeprun Tram terminal.

Players can also experience a total of five new scenarios: three for both factions, one for the Alliance, and one for the Horde:

• Assault on Zan’vess
• A Little Patience
• Dagger in the Dark
• Lion’s Landing (Alliance)
• Domination Point (Horde)

Wrathion’s side story also moves forward and if you’ve helped the Black Prince in the past, he’ll now have more for you to do. In order to unlock this stage of quests, you need to have Revered standing with the Black Prince, complete the “Breath of the Black Prince” quest, and unlock either the Dominations Point or Lion’s Landing scenario depending on your faction.

A dedicated PVP section will be added to the Group Finder tool in Phase 2 and have full cross-realm support. This addition should help players take on the new PVP challenges available in Wintergrasp in Tol Barad.

Phase 2 rounds out with some quality-of-life updates in the form of a gear upgrade system and graphic updates. Players can now seek out an Ethereal merchant in their Pandaren capital and upgrade their PVE and PVP gear using Justice points.

Finally, if you want to upgrade your graphics, a separate High-Definition Texture update will be available for download once Phase 2 goes live. There are two ways to get this update:

• In-game — go to your “Menu” then to “System” and finally choose “Graphics.”
• Out-of-game — in your Battle.net launch for Mists Classic, click “Options,” then choose “Modify Install.” The HD textures file should be the next available option.
