What are your plans and goals for Legion Remix?
Now that we know exactly when we’ll be revisiting the Broken Isles, it’s a good idea to come up with a plan of attack and set some goals for the upcoming Legion Remix game mode.
Since Remix involves making a new character, one of my most debilitating weaknesses comes into play: spending an hour on the character creation screen with several overlapping cases of decision aversion. I want to nip that tendency of mine in the bud by having a character in mind before we even get the call to board the ship for the Broken Shore.
In a similar strategy that I employed for World of Warcraft Remix: Mists of Pandaria, I am planning on diving into a spec that I have barely (or never) spent any time in. Even after two decades of playing World of Warcraft, I can’t say that I’ve ever actually played a Beast Mastery Hunter in any way. Or maybe it would be more fun to roll my first Demonology Warlock for a revisit to an expansion with more demonic entities that you can shake a warglaive at.
This will be especially important for such a class-focused chapter in World of Warcraft’s history. Which of the Order Class Halls do I feel like spending the next few weeks flitting in and out of? Which legendary weapon would I not mind staring at for the entirety of this Remix run?
Even coming up with my character’s names can sometimes eat a huge chunk out of my planned play time. My plan is to be fully prepped with every detail of my Remix persona in mind by the night of October 6th so that I can get directly to fending off a Burning Legion attack for the 3,974th time in my career.
As far as what I want to get out of Legion Remix, there are a few things that would be nice to accomplish before we dive into Player Housing and Midnight. As usual, I will be attempting to maximize the number of mounts and other collectibles that I can obtain. The Duskytooth Fel Snooter is attached to achievements in Highmountain, so I’ll be headed there first to ensure that my Remix adventure doesn’t end without an evil capybara sidekick.
Finally, looking back on ReMists makes me realize that I need to set one more overarching goal: have fun and enjoy the experience. My revisit to Pandaria started that way, but quickly took a turn sideways when I became a bit too stressed about earning as many achievements as I could. I want to take my time and not blow by the quest text solely in the name of maximizing my snooter-to-minute ratio.
So what will your approach to Legion Remix be? Do you have it all planned out, or are you going to take a running double jump and wing it?
