How to enter Heroic World Tier in Legion Remix
Legion Remix contains a few changes from the first remix, but none of them are as literally game changing as Heroic World Tier mode. In Heroic World Tier mode, creatures in the open world have higher health pools and deal more damage, and some of them are affected by Diablo-style affixes. You can find yourself fighting an owl lion who summons legion reinforcements that, when it dies, explodes and gives you a damage over time debuff. You are warned as you accept joining the Heroic World Tier that you will most likely die.
But as the saying goes, the greater the risk, the greater reward — with more XP, bronze, Infinite power for your artifact, and higher item level loot.
If this sounds like a good deal, upon turning level 25, Eternus will summon you to her at the infinite bazaar and grant you the quest Infinite Chaos. Under the pretense that Norzdormu will only let the infinite dragons play around in this alternate time line for so long, she shunts you to to another time line where the Legion is even stronger. To enter this, you will see a very scary looking fel tower to her side. By clicking on it, you can toggle the Heroic World Tier on and off. You will be given a task of killing heroic mobs as well as a few empowered enemies to let you get the hang of heroic mode.
If you want out of this challenge, you may return to the pillar to toggle it off, use the Temporal Retreat in your bag which will deactivate heroic mode or — should you die — talk to the frightening looking spirit healer who knows you don’t belong, and you will be resurrected in normal mode. To return to Heroic World Tier, return to the Infinite Bazaar for the Fel tower.
Heroic mode is not for the speed levelers at their first playthrough. While you get more XP, you are also more likely to die. However once you start seeing demigod levels of power, heroic mode is a fun way to play and it’s recommend you start your journey there by level 80 as it will offer more of a challenge even if you are all powerful. Heroic world tier is so enjoyable that it would be great to see a version of it appear in World of Warcraft Midnight at some point. For now, it will be fun to see how players respond to this new style of play in the open world on the Broken isle.
