How to find and earn the flamingo lawn ornament player housing decor in World of Warcraft

The animated Player Housing trailer that aired at the tail end of last week’s State of Azeroth livestream included a yard and house exterior absolutely covered in decorative pink flamingos — and you can collect your very own hot pink flock of bird decor after a few short quests.

If you inspect the in-game model of the “Elegant” Lawn Flamingo closer, you’ll notice that it is actually a two-dimensional recreation crafted with hastily-painted wood and spare metal parts. That’s a dead giveaway for Goblin craftsmanship, and you will indeed need to head to Undermine to acquire your flock of flamingo cutouts.

Seek out Gerry Clogcraw outside of the northeast door of the Incontinental Hotel. His boss, Papa Kraz Torquewrench, needs your help with the planning and carrying out a storybook wedding for his daughter. While that sounds like an awful lot of work, it turns out that just seven quests of prep work and security detail later you’ll be rewarded with your first flamingo housing decor by the grateful patriarch.

In order to fill out your flock, head back to the Incontinental Hotel and speak with Stacks Topskimmer. He’s the Used Decor Salesman at the foot of the “grand” staircase. Each additional flamingo will set you back 750 Resonance Crystals, which is a decent chunk of change. Your best bet for scoring loads of crystals is to complete weekly activities and quests in The War Within.

Once you’ve purchased your flamboyance (yes, that is the name of a group of flamingos), there are a great deal of possible uses for them. The default size is about the height of a Tauren, but the ability to grow your pink feathered lawn ornaments to double that size means that you can fill your lawn (and roof) with long-legged bird cutouts that will be clearly visible from several plots away. If you don’t have a natural water feature on your property, you can always craft or buy a Boulder Springs Hot Tub or Freywold Fountain for your flock to hang out in.

Delightfully, these flamingos can also be used as interior decor. The possibilities are endless with the new skybox rooms — for example, you can set up an entire oasis with Raptor and Elekk Plushies. You could also simply scale one all the way down to 20% and pop it on your desk as a reminder of your adventures in the Goblin capital.
