Midnight arrives with a surprisingly short scheduled WoW maintenance — all servers back online after extended maintenance
The Midnight expansion just dropped in World of Warcraft, which makes this week’s one-hour maintenance seem optimistic to me, but that’s why I’m not a game developer. And optimistic or not, all WoW servers were scheduled for a short hour of maintenance this morning, which has now been extended to two hours.
Here’s the WoW maintenance schedule for Tuesday, March 3:
- Midnight: Offline from 7am –
8am9am pacific (10am –11am12pm eastern) - Mists of Pandaria Classic: Offline from 7am –
8am9am10am pacific (10am –11am12pm1pm eastern) - WoW Classic (including Classic Era, Season of Discovery, and Hardcore realms): Offline from 7am –
8am9am pacific (10am –11am12pm eastern) - The Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary realms: Offline from 7am –
8am9am pacific (10am –11am12pm eastern)
All WoW servers are now back online!
Classic servers have been running smooth since the launch of TBC Classic on the Anniversary realms as many players dive into nostalgia. But on modern realms, Midnight early access went live late last week and the full launch went live on Monday. The servers seem to be running smoothly after a some server hiccups right when the expansion went live.
Hopefully a quick restart will keep everything running smoothly, but maintenance day can be unpredictable, as proven by this morning’s extended maintenance.
All servers are now back online, so hopefully I’ll see you in Azeroth soon.
