The Queue: Actually, I was supposed to be here today

It’s like I was just here, but here I am again. Are we stuck in a time loop? Am I trapped in an eternal Thursday? I guess I’ll find out if tomorrow never comes.

But for now, this is the Queue, our daily Q&A column where I try to answer your questions and then we argue about it in the comments. Let’s get to it!

KALCHEUS ASKED:

Q4tQ Is there an easy way to see a character’s Shadowlands covenant progress after they leave a covenant? I know I had a character that did almost all of Bastion but I don’t know how to tell which one without trying to swap back.

I’m afraid there’s no easy way (that I know of). The Covenant system was certainly a precursor to the modern renown system, but it never plugged into the reputation system — which you can easily view in a menu — in the way renown does. So the system remains rather inscrutable, without manually going to check where you stand by going to Oribos and hot-swapping Covenants.

THOMAS STRANGE ASKED:

Should all Timewalking Weeks feature a raid? If so, which one(s) would you support? Just the final raid, or possibly something earlier in that expansion’s tier? (I’d be there for Highmaul or even Blackrock in Warlords, but might not care to do Hellfire Citadel again, though…)

I’m all for more Timewalking raids, because I think they’re a fun chance to revisit old raids with a low difficulty curve and the potential for some fun rewards. (It also happens to be an extremely easy way to finish your weekly Timewalking quest, which is nice.) Blizzard seems to have focused on picking out iconic raids to bring into Timewalking, and I feel like you could find something from each expansion, even if, perhaps, Warlords of Draenor did not have the most iconic raids.

RED ASKED:

Q4tQ: if WoW and Diablo were to have a new crossover event, what would you like to see from it? On either game.

Treasure Goblins. Treasure Goblins! TREASURE GOBLINS!!!

It is a joy to chase down a Treasure Goblin and steal its stuff…. or to chase a Treasure Goblin through a dozen packs of mobs and get yourself killed. There’s a joy in that chaos, too.

But WoW should have Treasure Goblins. I know it has before, for events, but it should have more. They should be everywhere, taunting us, luring us into dangerous places, and we should always follow, because the heroes of Azeroth are not very smart but we are very loot motivated.

What should Diablo get? Also more Treasure Goblins. It always needs more Treasure Goblins. How is this a crossover event? I don’t know, but I do know I always want to be chasing down Treasure Goblins.

MUSEDMOOSE ASKED:

Q4tQ: did you know that the new spear-fishing event thingy can net you a pet capybara in a bubble ?

Well I do now, and I’ve got to go and learn to spear fish.

That’s it for the Queue today, because I have to pay attention to the Diablo 4 livestream that’s about to start. Take care everybody, and I’ll see you in the comments section.
