The Queue: Mother’s Day!

There are so many great mothers in Blizzard’s games. A lot more than in Disney movies for some reason…

I still think that the best Warcraft one is Alexstraza. It’s not easy being a mother to so many fire-breathing children. That she can still treat us, the players (other than Death Knights), as nicely as she does is impressive. She’d be well within her rights to ignore the world and go spend all of her time at a spa, relaxing.

While I go find some Pandaren extra giant cucumber slices for her to put over her eyes, it’s time for our daily question and answer column — The Queue!

ARTHONOS FINALLY I FIGURED OUT BUT IT TOOK A LONG, LONG TIME

Lost decor duel because someone clipped through the walls and was running around the grassy hills outside of the city. Not sure what would compel someone to want to cheat in something like decor duel, but I wish them a lifetime of minor inconveniences!

Don’t you know that the most insignificant events are where the cheaters are the most prevalent! There’s nothing on the line, which makes losing all the more painful. So clearly, that’s when the wall hacks and such are brought out to really tip the scales in their favor. It kind of feels like everyone should be cheating all at the same time to really make the playing field level…

But seriously, it’s so annoying, isn’t it? It’s like people who cheat in Fall Guys! This game is about clumsy beans running through brightly colored obstacle courses, which definitely has negative stakes. Treating it as an excuse to get sweaty rather than an amusing distraction is everything wrong with players these days. I’m not saying that it isn’t fun to win, but breaking the game so you’ll never lose is so sad. Your whole emotional stability must be balanced on a house of cards that can’t even handle a slight breeze if losing at Fall Guys or a silly prop hunt in World of Warcraft will cause it to crumble.

MUSEDMOOSE WELL, IT’S HARD TO SAY WHAT IT IS I SEE IN YOU

Q4tQ: how often do you create characters who play against type? Asking because I’m sorely tempted to create a D4 warlock who’s tanned and blonde and wears bright colors

Not very often.

I often have a pretty clear picture in my head of what the character should be — before I start one. Like I knew that my Diablo Warlock would be a cool badass master of the dark, and wouldn’t you know that’s what I wound up with. Of course, I also have a pretty good imagination; there’s nothing saying that they can’t also be a tanned blond in a bright yellow robe, it’s just that most of that robe will also be covered in blood and ichor and other demonic oozes. I contain multitudes.

RED WORDS CAN’T SAY IT AND I CAN’T DO ENOUGH TO PROVE IT’S ALL FOR YOU

War Plans are crack

I can’t stop playing Dibalo

I finish a War Plan and I’m like “just another one”

halp

War Plans are like crack

Can’t stop playing Diablo

Just one more please halp

You were so close to a haiku, I just had to clean it up for you.

Diablo has been pretty good up until now about getting its hooks in me and keeping me going. Until I realize that I’m done with all the fun new seasonal stuff, and then I can escape. So this new method of doing stuff has been both amazing for keeping me going. While also just the worst because what do you mean it’s late and I have to be up early?!

You asked for halp, and unfortunately, I don’t have any I can offer here.

we are stuck in this.

bring snacks I’m so very hungry

maybe some fresh meat

MUSEDMOOSE ALL MY ROADS (THEY LEAD TO YOU) I JUST CAN’T TURN AND WALK AWAY

Q4tQ: will Monday’s Queue be the fourth in a row with a Diablo IV header picture?

Asking the question has influenced the result. I was gonna do a Lilith pic for Mother’s Day, but then I realized I could be a c-c-c-c-ombo breaker and I chose chaos today.

Look, it could’ve easily gone the other way! Sometimes I love being part of the club. I’d say it was 50/50. If only I were unscrupulous enough to make a massive bet on one of those websites that definitely aren’t gambling about whether or not it would be a Diablo header. I could’ve made dozens of cents! I’d have to assume that the market wouldn’t give me very big odds based on what a small niche website uses as its header images for long-running community-focused articles.

I can be bribed, though, so keep that in mind for next time.

Today’s Bacardi looks just a little shocked to be here. He might’ve been hitting the ‘nip a little hard, and now he doesn’t know if he’s coming or going. He just loves his beaver toy that’s full of the stuff! He’s had that toy forever, like a proper Canadian kitty.
