The Queue: Do I, Lillith? Do I?
As y’all can see in the above screenie, Lilith likes to claim we need her to stop Mephisto. After several hundred attempts to kill the Echo of Lilith on Torment 8 (I’m handily clearing Torment 9 content otherwise) I don’t think we do.
I’m really willing to take a chance on this.
The new “how big is your sack” t-shirt has a bunch of items on it and I was offended by the lack of a Carrot on a Stick. Got me thinking and I wonder, do you have any non-weapon, non-armor items that aren’t in the game anymore, or have gone gray, that you look back fondly on? Off the top of my head, I oh-so-slightly miss Holy Candles (for Prayer of Fortitude) and the three tiers of Scourgestones.
I’d probably go with the Spectral Essence, which let you talk to ghosts in and around Scholomance — it was for a quest and that quest is long gone, but I still have the inert item in my backpack on my Human. He was my main back in the Vanilla days.
Pfft. Do prey with a scalehide. You get leech and bloodlust, and the pet gets a nice shield to help keep it alive.
And tanking with an ankylosaurus or pangolin is neat.
I don’t even play my Hunter anymore and I still agree that having an Anky as a pet would be pretty cool. Imagine a WoW version of Stegouros elengassen? It’s like if an Ankylosaurid and a Stegosaurid got together and made a spike covered armored love bug. Just be careful when you hug it.
Q4TQ: Do you get the surreal feeling that certain games aren’t really games? That they’re really some sort of social experiment that’s being conducted by the government and corporations? If you’ve watched the Fallout series on Amazon or played any of the Fallout video games then you know what I mean. Well that’s my tinfoil Ted Talk for the day.
I mean, if any game can make the claim to be a big social experiment, I feel like Star Citizen must be considered. Considering they recently crossed $1 billion USD on their crowdfunding by getting people to give them money and write an application essay in order to purchase a spaceship that doesn’t even exist in the game, which is itself still in trial/development.
One.
Billion.
Dollars.
And keep in mind, not only does the game just barely exist after over a billion dollars in crowdfunded money, but they had to write an application essay for the privilege of giving Roberts Space Industries (the company behind Star Citizen) their $5000 to buy the ship. The one that doesn’t exist in game and can’t be flown yet, in a game that is still in Early Access.
If that’s not some kind of test, I can’t imagine what else it could be.
Did we all just forget you can swap your pets spec at your local stable master!?! Bears have a better defensive than cats do! Shame on Anna for cheating on Rutherford, he’s doing his beary best!
See, he’s not a dinosaur, so I don’t care.
Also, to be honest, I doubt I retained that knowledge the second I decided my Hunter would be retiring at the Legion Hunter Hangout. That’s just what I call it.
I should also emphasize that he did NOT steal anyone’s name, he is the only Rutherford B Hayes to ever exist.
I looked up the name on search engines (I won’t say the one because I fear their rivals) and based on what I found, Anna’s story checks out. I do think her bear should take some heat for the rumored attempt to eat Democratic candidate Samuel J Tilden.
The J does not stand for anything I could discover either.
I went and saw The Mandalorian movie yesterday (enjoyed it!). And Project Hail Mary before that. some movies you just have to see in theaters on a big screen first.
I haven’t gone to a movie since 1999 and I doubt I’ll ever go to a theater again, due to watching people spread COVID and refuse to wear masks to contain said spread. Nope. I also rarely go to the grocery store if I can possibly avoid it. In fact, almost all of my out of home trips are medical in nature, including two ambulance rides.
Learning that people would rather I catch a disease that could kill me than wear a mask in public screwed me up but good. Has ruined the idea of public places and I miss going to see films, but not enough to risk it.
Okay, that’s the Queue for today. Take care, all. Stay safe.
