The Queue: Nostalgia, etc

It’s funny how often I’ve had to go back and visit old content because of stuff they’ve discussed on the podcast. This past week, it was trying to remember exactly where and when Rendle pops up. I knew he was in Revendreth, but didn’t remember if he was accessible outside the raid to players who completed the storyline but didn’t join the faction. What was the next set of zones he was in. Undermine? No, that’s not right, but it sort of feels right in terms of his character, you know?

Anyway, it was quite the detour, and wow does Castle Nathria take forever to complete these days.

This is The Queue, our daily column where you ask us questions and we don’t remember where to turn in all this anima we suddenly have, so we’ll get to you in a minute.

You can use the Key to the Arcantina toy in your toybox at any level in order to travel to the Arcantina, and then Silvermoon City. I have a bunch of lowbie alts hanging out there, though there isn’t much there for them that they can’t get from Orgrimmar or Stormwind.

After my first character was finished, I think the move is really to go to Voidstorm, because I hate it. If I do as much of it as possible before I hit level cap, I can just dip back in for Prey and not worry about going back otherwise. Whichever zone you hate most is the one I’d go with for you.

There is perhaps a case to be made to ensure you visit Zul’Aman for the mist-enshrouded Chekov’s Gun lurking just off the coast. That promises to be quite troll-y, and though I doubt they’d hook in the renown and all that directly, it’s probably a good idea to get on your way over there, make sure the hubs are all unlocked where applicable.

I know this is a personal attack, since you can see my Steam activity, and for every single game a friend has listed, I have listed five. However, it’s not as many as you might think, actually, since a lot of the titles that really struck me were already on my wishlist, especially from the Thinky Direct. Also, I added a few games outside of Steam Summer Sale, like I just finished Still Wakes The Deep, and it was pretty good, so I added the DLC, and I also added a couple more from suggestions like that.

…but 47 is still kind of a lot.

I don’t eat meat so there’s only so weird I can get, mostly. Even stuff like prawn flavored chips is a no-go. And speaking of, “weird” is subject to your cultural context. Prawn chips are totally normal in England, and ketchup-flavored chips are a Canadian delicacy, and I think they’re both odd choices. I have tried the ketchup ones, though… pretty decent, especially as a layer in a sandwich or on a burger.
