The Queue: Every day’s great at your Junes!

I don’t usually endorse advertising jingles for department stores, but Nanako is cute and must be protected at all costs. You go, Nanako. You sing about how great every day is at your local Junes!

This is The Queue, our daily Q&A column where the only reason I don’t say I’m looking forward to February 2027 is because I can’t remember off the top of my head when exactly each of the several other games I’m currently excited about will be released.

1) Stormwind City. Failing that, give me Dalaran.

2) Chie’s animations <3

Her standard combat animation, hopping around, looks super energetic and cool. And in one of her special attacks she did that classic Bruce Lee “nose touch” thing <3

Prime Time seems like a fun evolution over P3R’s Theurgy, but I hope we still do get the special attacks with their cinematic animations at the end. We did see the protagonist and Yosuke both performing an animated attack at the end (which the narrator called “Prime Time Finish” but the UI had as “Series Finale”), but they looked a bit more generic than those super cool Theurgies. Guess we’ll have to wait and see!

Have you considered the political implications of you becoming Mr. Boven Highmountain, though?

It’s not just a last name one carries with no consequences! You’d become royalty, or whatever the cow/moose equivalent is! Do you truly want to carry that burden? Do you?

Although… you would get considerably closer to your dream of establishing an official “Highmountain Bikini Party” event on Azeroth. You’d finally have the name, the authority, the support, the connections for it.

I say go for it. You should run for president of Kalimdor.

Wait, what was the question again?

I guess it only hinges on there being a plane, or something equivalent. Snakes on a ship? Snakes on a zeppelin?

Either way, it’s WoW, they can hardly resist pop culture references. I say it’s a 50/50.

We have both kinds and more.

1. We have the omnics. They’re fully artificial beings with advanced-enough intelligence that they essentially think and behave like people. They used to be pumped out by factories, especially during the Omnic Crisis. But their level of sentience and enlightenment is such that some became monks, like Zenyatta, because they truly believe they have souls.
2. Then, there are other seemingly sentient robots that aren’t omnics. Two playable examples are Orisa and Echo. I don’t really know if it’s ever been explained if/how they’re fundamentally different from omnics, when it comes to sentience and such. Either way, they’re produced differently, and not treated as omnics exactly.
3. And then we have people with cybernetics. Genji is the prime example. I guess Sojourn counts as well. Nothing “robot people” about them; just regular people who were enhanced with robot parts.

Overwatch lore can be pretty interesting. I wish there was a big single player campaign or something.

I’m gonna be super basic and go with Caesar, because it’s good. But the truth is that I prefer “custom” salads over the common “named” ones.

I like lettuce, tomatoes, corn, peas, maybe some broccoli. Some chicken can be good. Some cheese can be good. Some nuts can be good.

Lots of olive oil, for sure.

Either way, I’m really looking forward to Persona 4 Revival on February 2027! And I’m also looking forward to the weekend — I badly need the rest. I hope I have a great one, and I hope you have a great one too!
