The Queue: Punk Rock Woman
Ladies and gentlemen, this is The Weeknd.
What do I have in common with him? We both started our Persona 5 playthroughs intending to date Takemi (aka Punk-rock Woman), but ended up not dating Takemi.
This is The Queue, our daily Q&A column where we like the weekend. It’s the best part of the week! By far!!!
Q4TRed: What decks you feeling so far into Escape the Violet Hold?
I’ve had the time (and cards) to try three decks so far.
- Azalina Priest is awful. Yogg-darn awful. I have no idea what the Hearthstone devs were thinking with that one. I only tried it because Azalina was the first legendary I got, and I quickly gave up on it.
- Beatrix Paladin is fun. It’s close enough to last expansion’s Paladin decks that it feels familiar, but it seems more consistent than Bubble Paladin was — that deck was extremely hit or miss; some games you were unstoppable, other games you felt powerless. This feels better, and it’s fun to get all of those discounted Paladin cards.
- Mug Shaman is really fun. I particularly love that both Mug and Zee decks seem to be working so far (though only time will tell if that’s still gonna be true after the meta settles). I was really happy to get Mug’Zee, so I just crafted the other legendaries I needed because it felt like a “safe” card; hope I’m not wrong in the long term, lol.
It’s a fun expansion so far. Feels more solid than Cataclysm did, at least for now.
Q4tQ: In games with romance options, are you the type to “lock in” on a choice as soon as you see a character in early preview art, or are you the type that waits to get to know their personality in game?
I don’t, actually! I tend to change my mind while playing, before locking in.
In Persona 5, I started out convinced I was going to date Takemi, because I instantly fell in love with “Punk Rock Woman.” But as I kept playing, I realized that I wasn’t really inserting myself into the game; I was feeling like I was choosing a partner that would feel appropriate for my character, Joker — not for me, the player. So dating Takemi felt “wrong” for him, and I ended up choosing to ignore her romance conversation even though it was the first one I unlocked. Then I wanted Makoto, but ended up dating Hifumi!

Q4tQ This week’s Turbulent Timeways is Battle for Azeroth Timewalking. Which is your favorite and which is your least favorite BfA TW Dungeon?
My favorite is Waycrest Manor. The vibes in that dungeon are immaculate. Such a cool place. I love Drustvar, I love that particular brand of spookiness, and Waycrest is just great. Feels like a real, lived place too.
My least favorite… probably Siege of Boralus. Just kind of an annoying dungeon, to be honest.
1) Q4tQ A lot of the speculation around Fortune’s Weave focuses on physical resemblance (eye color, hair style, etc) to characters in Three Houses to suggest a relationship. Do you think there’s validity to the speculation, or do you think it’s simply a case of there’s only so many colors/hairstyles available to use?
2) Q4tQ What is your favorite social activity in Fire Emblem: Three Houses?
3) Q4tQ Why is Fire Emblem 2 the only Fire Emblem without an Anna?
1) I absolutely think there’s validity to the speculation. It’s almost a given that certain characters in Fortune’s Weave are going to be related to the ones in Three Houses, though the big mystery is still if the story in FW takes place before or after 3H — so we don’t know if those characters are ancestors or descendants. (My money right now is that FW takes place after 3H and they’re descendants.)
But some of the resemblances, like Ursula and Marianne, are just way too big for it to be a coincidence. Same hair color, similar hairstyle, and same Crest (when it’s specifically a pretty unique Crest that almost no other character in the entire story has)? Has to be intentional.
2) Probably meals! You get to pair up two characters, and you might unlock special dialogue if they have something to do with each other — or, you might just pair up two people who would never normally interact for the hell of it, if you’re feeling wicked. If you’re trying to increase your relationship levels with multiple people at the same time, inviting them for meals feels like a fast way to do so.
Sauna is fun too. Requires the DLC, though.
3) Look,

This has been The Queue. You might find love in a cafe, but you might also find it in a church. Who knows? Have a good weekend, everyone.
