The Queue: Just a snuggly little guy
Ah, to be a tiny red dinosaur, snuggled into a plush bed for a nap.
This is The Queue, our daily column where you ask us questions and we’re gonna be real quiet so this little baby can have a nap.
Q4tQ Do you think the 4-hr WoW downtime on Tuesday will end before the Queue is published?
I guess we’re about to find out!
Q4tQ: in games where you can choose your party members, how do you build your party? Do you go with whoever’s mechanically optimized, just use your favorites, pick at random?
It depends on how the story is.
For example, in Dragon Age, while your party makeup certainly has combat consequences, if you want to get to smoochin expeditiously, you’re going to want your main squeeze in the party regardless of how much they may suck, especially as compared to other characters. The Mabari Hound is the best tank choice in Origins but Alistair is at the exact intersection of cinnamon roll himbo and sarcasm which I couldn’t pass up on my first playthrough, so the pup got benched.
In pretty much all the Final Fantasies, I actively rooted against anyone canoodling (those plots were not my fave) so it was pure combat utility. Plus, all the plot stuff took place between battles, so it didn’t really matter who was in the adventuring party.
Then there are the gray areas. Weirdly, in Fallout 4, I wound up romancing Macready because he was the best companion. He didn’t care if I stole stuff (absolutely crucial in a companion). He was also one of the few characters who’d be all stealthy with me and not run in immediately, tripping all the traps and bringing a billion supermutants down on my head when I’m trying to snipe them from a mile away through the windows. But all that stealing stuff together made him like me more and more, until I was like, sure, I guess we can make out in this radioactive puddle while we’re waiting for them to investigate that noise or whatever, you weirdo.
Q4tQ: Butter Chicken is the dish do you prefer it with rice or naan?
It depends. If I’m at a place where I’m going to be seated and stationary, the naan, especially if it’s family style. The sauces get into the rice, which is good, but I like the different dishes to taste different, you know? But if I’m going to get food and sit cafeteria style, maybe walk around, and if I’ve been doing something where my hands may not be the cleanest, like walking around at a festival, I’ll opt for rice and utensils.
It’s all great, though.
Q4tQ: which should I get tomorrow, the Buldak Grilled Cheese, or Deep Fried Maki Corn Dog?
-Jumbo chicken, beef, or veggie dog wrapped in sushi rice and seaweed, battered in crispy panko and fried golden for a crunchy, savory bite Topped with ginger, wasabi, spicy mayo, teriyaki, and sesame seeds for a bold, sushi‑inspired street snack on a stick

buldak grilled cheese. The seaweed, after being fried at high heat, is likely to be very chewy, which means the rice won’t hold onto it very well, and with all that additional junk on it, you’re going to be holding a hot dog on a stick in one hand and a mess in the other. The grilled cheese is going to be a mess, but at least it’s honest about it.
Either way, bring a small pack of wet wipes.
