The Queue: Devil Dinosaur
I like Devil Dinosaur. I’d like to see him on Sanctuary.
I am a little surprised to see no mention of this in The Queue. OK, well, this is about a Blizzard GM stepping into the game to help a streamer kill off a mob and Lothraxian in order to help a group finish a Nexus Point Mythic 23 on time. The only reason we know about it is that the PUG tank posted the logs to r.io and someone else saw a discrepancy in the logs.
I have reactions, but I don’t know what’s actually happening and I’m not going to pretend I do one way or another.
- Kaivax has posted a response to this saying that Blizzard is investigating, and here is the original Reddit post with the logs contained.
- I have had difficulty getting accepted to Mythic+ pugs that I highly outgeared, and here we have a M+23 with a pug tank?
- Anyone else remember Martin Fury?
Late Q4tQ: how would your favorite book/movie/game/whatever characters fare in Sanctuary? Asking because I’m reading a book about magic battles and some of it vaguely reminded me of the Diablo III wizard, and it got me thinking. 😁
Favorite might be pushing it a little — for example, many of my favorite novels are about normal people living obstensibly normal lives. I doubt that Mark Renton would do very well against the ravening demonic masses invading Sanctuary. So I’m going to pick and choose here.
- Godzilla. He’s already been to Hell and walked out like the King of the Monsters he is. Sanctuary would be at best a mid difficulty experience for the big G, and I don’t care which version of Gojira we’re talking about. Shin, Minus One, Heisei, Showa, Millennium era, or the Monsterverse. None of them struggle in Sanctuary.
- Superman. Obviously he has a much harder time because he’s as susceptible to magical attacks as any other mortal being. But he beat Satan once, and has wrestled an angel. so I think he’d do as well as could be expected. High difficulty, but a clean win.
- Kassandra of Sparta. “I beat Diablo. Mother will be so proud.” She routinely slaps around Isu beings that can twist reality into a pretzel, not thinking she’d struggle much here. This also goes for Wonder Woman, who would fare significantly better than Superman did, as killing big mythical monsters is literally her deal.
- Spider-Man. Depends on the incarnation, but current 616 Spider-Man has been through so much nonsense and come out on top, including some truly gnarly magical threats, that I can’t see him losing to the Burning Hells. He’d grit his teeth, come up with a plan, and at the end he’d leave Sanctuary intact.
- Doomguy/The Doom Marine/The Doom Slayer. The Burning Hells would be running within a few days. The Slayer would think of it like a vacation.
There are a lot more I could use but I can’t just make the entire Queue about various characters in Sanctuary. And besides most of you probably don’t know who Marc Remillard is.
What the actual ff… heck is auto-dubbing on youtube.
This is awful. Just horrendous.
I’d rather just watch the video with the original audio than this AI slop voice.
YouTube has become so unabashedly awful that I’m pretty much only there nowadays for Ann Reardon, Your Dinosaurs are Wrong and several other paleontology channels, and to keep track of WoW and Diablo news from channels like Tali and Evitel.
Oh, and occasionally just so I can watch the astonishingly terrible commercials trying to convince me I can cure Altzheimer’s with olive oil and honey.
It’s been a long time since I played that game, and I didn’t get too far, but my early party was my character, Morrigan, the rogue woman whose name escapes me, and the hound. Three women and their dog out on an adventure. It was kind of awesome.
That ‘rogue woman’ was Leliana, the Left Hand of the Divine, chief spymaster for the Inquisition and one of the most famous and accomplished Orlesian Bards (think D&D Bards if they could subclass as Assassins) in the whole world of Thedas.
I mean, come on, show some respect here.
The funny part here is that I never once romanced her, I just realized early on that she was an absolute death machine if built properly. Honestly, she’d probably do pretty well in Sanctuary.

Okay, that’s the Queue for today. Here’s Godzilla and Devil Dinosaur becoming friends and fighting cavemen together. Godzilla had been shrunk by S.H.I.E.L.D. using Pym Particles and the Fantastic Four used Doctor Doom’s time machine to send Godzilla back in time. No, really.
