Enhance your Player Housing aquarium with the new Enchanted Voidwell Fish in patch 12.1

Player Housing decor collectors will have a new fishy friend to acquire in Midnight’s patch 12.1, and its looping swim animation makes it perfect for placing in your at-home aquarium.

We’ve seen a cornucopia of creativity from World of Warcraft players when it comes to building signature pieces for their homes, and the aquariums that I have seen have been some of the most impressively crafted masterpieces. The main problem so far has been the lack of swimming critters to place inside these aquatic menageries.

The Enchanted Voidwell Fish changes the game for homeowners who have been glumly staring at their empty fish tanks. This new decor item is a standalone animal, rather than a fish on a plate or mounted to a board. Once placed inside your home, it will swim in place by swishing its tail. It also bobs up and down as if it is attempting to move upstream.

Despite how much sense it would make, the Fishing profession is not involved in obtaining this fish. It is instead created by Enchanters from:

The recipe will be obtained from a vendor in the new Coiled Isle zone. This denizen of the deep decor can be placed in both the interior and exterior of your Player Housing space. The possibilities are endless — outdoor water features with schools of fish, Gnomish antigravity experiments undergoing testing, or even a small group of enchanted swimming critters floating around the library.

Stay tuned for final updates on the Enchanted Voidwell Fish as patch 12.1 goes live in just a few weeks. In an encouraging development for those of us who do not have the available time to create custom Player Housing decor from scratch, it appears that we may soon be able to purchase the fish tank from Dalaran in game as well (as I was hoping for over a year ago).
