The Queue: God Shattering Star

It’s kinda nice when the main villain in an epic fantasy story is just some human bandit. Strong enough to kill ancient dragons, make legendary weapons out of their bones, and invite his closest friends to drink their magical blood, sure, but still some human bandit!

Who sings his own final boss theme in a tenor voice.

This is The Queue, your daily Q&A column where we really should replay that game for the third time as we wait for the sequel to come out in just over a month.

KALCHEUS

Q4tQ Will the new zone in 12.1 be appropriate for leveling toons as well, or just 90s?

Googling and watching videos about 12.1 provided no definitive answer. I would bet on “no,” but I was honestly unable to find the actual answer to your question.

I considered hopping on the PTR, but even testing this would be exceedingly difficult because it could be one of those cases where you unlock the ability to level on it only on alts, after completing the full campain once on on your main.

We do know that in order to start questing on the new zone, you’ll need to have completed the max level campaign up to a certain point. That’s the biggest factor indicating that it might be max-level only. But even then, that’s not a guarantee — like I said, it’s possible that it requires a max level unlock but opens up for alts. So we don’t know!

Silly QftQ: Do you think never mind should be one word instead of two? Why or why not?

Personally I do think it should be nevermind, that always made more sense to me. That probably just comes down to vibes, but every time I type it as two words it feels wrong lol.

“Never Mind” would have been a considerably less cool title for the Nirvana album. So I absolutely agree with you.

CORY

Ok but seriously, who’s got a cheap Demonic Tyrael for me?

Alas, I do not have one. I assume you’ve already checked places like eBay, right?

MUSEDMOOSE

Q4tQ: what game music would you most love to see performed live?

Asking because I just found this and WHOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAH

The first answer that came to my mind was, indeed, Dancing Mad from FF6, so I’m not gonna steal yours. My answer is God Shattering Star from Fire Emblem: Three Houses!

It’s very difficult for me to pick my favorite final boss music ever, because there are so many candidates, like Dancing Mad, One-Winged Angel, Battle For Everyone’s Souls, and others, but God Shattering Star is always an extremely strong candidate — I still get goosebumps whenever I hear the part with the piano and violin arpeggios. And it’s one where seeing it performed live by a full orchestra, with some opera singer doing the voice of Nemesis, would be beyond epic.

RETPALLYJIL

Q4tQ:

I need visible golden spurs available for many more boots. They’re the very symbol of knighthood!

Yeah!!!

…wait, what was the question again?

XERIANNE

Q4tQ: I tend to rabbit hole on Trial of Style even without reward. What about you, Do you like running of the trolls/gnomes, Dancing in the AH or ToS or Balloon flights? What in game mini thing is your jam?

I really enjoy Trial of Style, I always make sure to participate a few times whenever it’s up. But that one might not be the best example because there are rewards, and I want them, even though the activity itself is a lot of fun.

I did the recent running of the trolls thing and I mostly did it just for the sake of it, rather than for any kind of reward. It was a fun side thing to do! I enjoy these mini-events from time to time, but I guess the one that is closest to being something I actually make sure to participate in is, indeed, the Trial of Style.

And this has been The Queue. We hope you have a great week, and beware of which dragons you attempt to slay — they might have angry descendants who come looking for vengeance. Kill Bill was a cautionary tale!
