The Burning Crusade Classic anniversary realms launch Phase 3.5 on October 22
The Burning Crusade Classic anniversary realms are finally getting the next phase of content on October 22, 2026 at 3pm pacific (6pm eastern). Phase 3.5 is more of a mini-phase but it still features a new raid, Zul’Aman, and updates to previously released raids and dungeons as well as updates to some gameplay systems.
Here’s everything you can expect when Phase 3.5 launches on October 22!

What’s in The Burning Crusade Classic anniversary phase 3.5?
- Zul’Aman 10-player raid
- Raid and dungeon updates
- Badge of Justice drops
- Epic Gems update
Taking place in the Ghostlands, the 10-player Zul’Aman raid is the marquee attraction in this phase. This raid has a “saving hostages against a timer” objective on top of the usual kill each boss requirement. When you beat each of the bosses, you’ll extend the timer and if you rescue all of the hostages before the time runs out then your party will earn the Amani War Bear mount.
Other raids and dungeons released in early TBC Classic anniversary phases are being tuned and adjusted in Phase 3.5. The Battle for Mount Hyjal and The Black Temple will no longer require attunement to enter while Heroic dungeons are having their overall difficulties reduced. In a corresponding move, the reputation requirement to purchase these Heroic keys is also being reduced to Heroic, allowing easier entry. The bosses from the following activities will also start dropping Badges of Justice: Karazhan, Gruul’s Lair, Magtheridon’s Lair, Serpentshrine Cavern, Tempest Keep, and Zul’Aman. These badges can be turned into G’eras in Shattrath City for more valuable items, Nether Vortex among them.
The Outland world bosses Doomlord Kazzak and Doomwalker will now drop Bind on Equip loot instead of Bind on Pickup and will also drop Badges of Justice.
Last but certainly not least, Epic Gems will become available in Phase 3.5 from Magtheridon’s Black Sack of Gems loot drop and the Brilliant Glass item made by Jewelcrafters. Players who held on to these items waiting for this phase to begin will be disappointed as they will not have a chance to drop Epic Gems.
