The Queue: Begone, ghosts

It is widely accepted amongst writers here at Blizzard Watch that the Queue is haunted.

Oh, sure, you could chalk it up to the fact that the Queue is written on some custom (very custom) code that runs in an old (very old) version of our CMS, but in actuality, we all know what it is. It’s ghosts. Questions or answers sometimes disappear; that’s just the ghosts at work. Entire posts have vanished after the Queue is scheduled to run sometimes, so you can’t just preview it, schedule it, and go — no, you must also perform the ritual of checking it after scheduling to ensure that the hungry ghosts are appeased and do not eat your post.

Well, we finally took some of our Patreon bucks and hired a young priest, an old priest, and a Liz Patt to exorcise these ghosts from the Queue. They might not look quite the same as they used to, but at least they’ll be ghost-free after this weekend.

Early December is our best guess. You did miss the PTR, though, which was open for a whole week. Nothing concrete yet — though I was glad to see the devs say that they saw how excited people were about some of the secrets and throwbacks in the Season of Hell’s Legacy and are carrying some of it forward.

Bearing in mind I mostly play tanks (so what do you mean “waiting” for queues), this is usually when I get stuff done that’s easily interruptible but which I don’t want to focus on otherwise. Inventory management, crafting stuff to throw on the Auction House, gathering. That sort of thing.
