New Make-A-Wish battle pet Brightpaw is now available for $10

Announced at BlizzCon last month, this year’s charitable donation pet, Brightpaw the Mana Kitty, is now available for purchase through the Battle.net shop. For $10 this adorable WoW pet will be yours across your account and through Dec. 31, 2015 100% of the proceeds goes to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. However, whether or not you can gift Brightpaw is not altogether clear.

The official announcement post states:

This radiant little kitty can be yours now! You can also gift her to a friend to spread the love.

But the BlizzardCS Twitter account says no:

@Medros New pets/mounts aren't able to be gifted right away. Just like Legion and other new games don't have a gifting option. ^JH

I suspect this is an oversight as the annual charity pet is a popular gifting item and Brightpaw will be made giftable quite soon. In the meantime, you can buy her for yourself and even use her as a battle pet. Or possibly sic her on Pepe.
