Diablo 3’s Rise of the Necromancer releases June 27, will cost $15

After what has felt like an eternity of waiting, Blizzard Entertainment has announced Diablo 3’s Rise of the Necromancer content pack will release June 27 for $15 on PC, PlayStation 4, and XBox One. Blizzard posted a short “sizzle reel” for the Necromancer — which you can watch below — along with the release-date announcement.

A release date of June 27 places Rise of the Necromancer well ahead of recent speculation. Due to the delayed start of Season 11, players predicted we would receive the Necromancer in late July — not one week from today. If you’ll be preparing for its imminent release, we’ve shared our impressions of the Necromancer beta and Blizzard has previewed the class’s upcoming set and legendary items. Blizzard has also assembled a handy FAQ covering all things Rise of the Necromancer.

Keep in mind, the Necromancer is standalone DLC, and the rest of patch 2.6.0’s content will be available to Reaper of Souls owners regardless of whether or not you purchase the Rise of the Necromancer content pack.
