Experience Pandaria all over again with special rewards during WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria

Have you ever wished you could experience Mists of Pandaria all over again, or maybe for the first time if you missed it? Do you enjoy collecting new appearances, mounts, toys, and more? Or maybe you just want a new way to level an alt to max level? If you’re into any or all of these things — oh, and unlimited power — World of Warcraft‘s just-announced limited time event WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria, coming in patch 10.2.7, is the event for you.

World of Warcraft Remix is a time-limited event during which players will level a new character from 10 to 70 in a retooled and accelerated version of Mists of Pandaria. And we do mean all of it: during your 60 levels in the remixed Pandaria, you’ll be able to take on nearly every quest, scenario, dungeon, and raid. Yes, raids: you’ll be able to enter everything from Mogu’shan Vaults at 25 to Siege of Orgrimmar at 60, and even presumably-remixed versions of heroic raids at 70. Furthermore, loot from everywhere has been powered up to match the leveling experience and comes from nearly anywhere, including quests, chests, bosses, and even ordinary enemies.

You’ll be able to customize your new loot with new, powerful gems that grant entirely new abilities and earn an artifact-quality cloak that gains permanent power increases as you go — and that cloak’s power on your most powerful character is shared with your alts, encouraging people to play more than one character in the Remix. The only limitation is that WoW Remix characters won’t be able to use the Auction House, but that hardly seems like a limitation when you should theoretically have powerful gear coming from everywhere.

This event is even open to those who have run out of character slots — new ones are going to be added to allow for more characters, so you can take your remixed characters forward into The War Within. Trial accounts will even be able to experience the first 10 levels of the Remix without a subscription up to level 20, although they’ll need to subscribe to continue past that level.

A remixed world grants remixed rewards

But what do you get for this besides just another leveled alt? I’m glad you asked: you can earn titles, a variety of transmogs, previously unreleased color variants of older mounts, and more just by completing WoW Remix-specific achievements, which will become Feats of Strength after the event ends. Nothing is named specific in the announcement, but we can clearly see a new red-and-white version of the phoenix mounts that were previously exclusive to Challenge Modes, as well as a golden version of the Reins of the Astral Cloud Serpent.

Furthermore, there will be items available for purchase with a new in-game currency. Any drops you get that you don’t want can be converted into a new currency, Bronze, which can be traded in at a bazaar in any zone to either upgrade the items you are keeping, or to purchase class transmogs, Mists of Pandaria mounts, toys, and more. Blizzard mentions that some of these items might have been “difficult to obtain as random drops” — perhaps some of those rare world boss mounts? All of these items will be account-bound, too, letting your other non-Remix characters take advantage of your finds and purchases!
