Cindermane Charger added to Recruit-a-Friend reward pool
The Cindermane Charger — a mount that looks suspiciously like a recolored Hearthsteed with extra particle effects — has been added to the Recruit-a-Friend reward pool for World of Warcraft today. For those unfamiliar with the Recruit-a-Friend service, we refer you to Battle.net, which houses a simple, straightforward explanation.
Though it’s unlikely Blizzard will ever release statistics for usage of this service, we are curious how much traction it has produced. Likewise, we’re curious how often the service is used as Recruit-a-Friend rather than Recruit-a-Second-Account given you can get these through buying a new copy of World of Warcraft for yourself and remaining subscribed for a couple of months. If you buy a copy of the game when it’s on sale (and make sure to use the proper referral procedure), acquiring one of these costs roughly as much as a mount directly from the Blizzard Store. I got my hands on a Swift Zhevra back in the day and I can assure you there were no friends involved in the process.
