Get 28% off Hearthstone in-game purchases with Amazon’s Prime Day sale

Tomorrow Amazon is celebrating its 20th anniversary with Prime Day. If you have an Amazon Prime membership (and even if you don’t, see below), you will get 25% more Amazon Coins when you buy $50 or $100 worth on one day only: Wednesday, July 15th. Amazon Coins are an alternate currency that you can use to make in-game purchases from apps downloaded from the Amazon App Store.

In addition to the bonus Coins, you will get 10% off any Amazon Coin purchase of $20 or more. So buying 5,000 Amazon Coins tomorrow will net you 6,250 Amazon Coins for $45. Buying 10,000 Coins will give you 12,500 of them for $90. 100 coins is the equivalent to $1 of in-app purchasing power. This means big savings (28% when you do the maths!) if you are looking to scoop up a lot of Hearthstone Adventures, Card Packs, and Heroes.

Of course, this only works for the Hearthstone app downloaded from Amazon. If you own a Kindle Fire (also on sale tomorrow!), Android phone, or Android Tablet, remove the Hearthstone app you downloaded from Google Play and download it from the Amazon App Store. Log in with your Battle.net account and all your decks, purchases and progress will be transferred to the app. If you play Hearthstone on a PC, Mac, iPhone, or iPad, sorry, everything is still full price for you. You must also be an Amazon Prime member, but if you aren’t you can sign up for a free 30-day trial period tomorrow to take advantage of the Coin sale.

Using the bonus and the discount to buy Coins effectively reduces the price of the Hearthstone in-game purchases as follows (all prices USD):

Naxxramas or Blackrock Mountain Adventure: Regularly $25 each, now $18.00

Heroes (Magni, Alleria or Medivh): Regularly $10 each, now $7.20

Classic or Goblins vs Gnomes Card Packs:

      • 2 Packs: Regularly $3, now $2.16
      • 7 Packs: Regularly $10, now $7.20
      • 15 Packs: Regularly $20, now $14.40
      • 40 Packs: Regularly $50, now $36.00

If you live outside of the U.S. check Amazon tomorrow to see if they are offering a similar deal in your region.
