Jessica Jones comic gets free digital release

If you’re looking forward to the Netflix series Jessica Jones, and you want to know more about the character and her world, good news. Marvel is releasing a digital Jessica Jones comic on Comixology by the creators of the original character, Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos.

It’s set in the continuity of the Netflix series, and will provide some backstory and a bridge between the character and the other upcoming Netflix series Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Since Bendis and Gaydos created Jessica Jones in the pages of the comic Alias (not to be confused with the TV series of the same name by JJ Abrams) I’m pretty hopeful the series will be respectful of the character and help set up her Netflix adventures on a strong footing. I generally find Jessica Jones a more relatable character than Daredevil‘s Matt Murdoch, as much as I love old hornhead, so I’m interested in picking this up.
