The Queue: A lot of nothing to discuss ’til BlizzCon
Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!
Would a haunted house dungeon that is only available during the Darkmoon fair be something that players would enjoy?
I think so! Limited-time-only content like holidays and so forth keep players excited about something without allowing them to burn out on it over the course of a few weeks of grinding. Only many years after implementation did things like Brewfest get boring — and aside from a few additional items, nothing has been done to make such events new and fresh again. I really do think they should be pushing new bits of content into these holidays (and the Faire) so content isn’t 100% reliant on the next quest hub or whatever. Players should be checking their calendars for the next holiday, not yawning about that thing that’s 10 years old.
Anything to bolster these events is A+ in my book.
why do zhevras have stripes?
To confuse predators when standing with the herd. When a lion is looking at a pack of zhevra, it’s a big mess of chaotic stripes, and picking on zhevra out from another is difficult. It’s the same concept behind the Dazzle style of camouflage. The US military used it to great effect in World War I and World War II to deter sea lion attacks.
What lore character or boss do you want to see made into a lil’/murloc version next?
Archimonde. We’ve beaten him so many times, he’s become an entertainment attraction. Archimonde plushies. Archimonde bobbleheads. Lil’ Archimonde wind-up toys.
Do elven eyebrows serve a purpose more akin to whiskers on cats, or to antennae on insects?
Pretty sure they only exist to look cool.
And, uh… that’s it! Enjoy?
