The Queue: Unicrafting

Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!

There’s a nice lady in the Chamber of the Guardian who will politely make a unicorn out of thin air for you, then just as politely go back to her books. …it’s a little odd. Can I get a Kirin Tor degree in Unimancy? Is that a thing?

MRMONSIEUR ASKED:

Haven’t been online much lately, can anyone say whether Dalaran has a transmogrifier?

There absolutely is one, over in the Enchanting shop — and you can access your Void Storage from the south bank in the Eventide section, not that you really need to this time around. The ethereals may not have a designated section in Dalaran, but they’re still hanging out!

RECLUSIVECREATION ASKED:

Q4tQ: How many of the alliance leaders are priests now? Anduin, Velen (he’s got levitate), and I kinda half want to say Moira is a priest, but I could be wrong on that one.

There are four now: Anduin, Velen, Tyrande, and Moira (although Moira is part of a Council, mind you — there are two other dwarves leading with her!). Given that we’re battling the Burning Legion this time around, it’s kind of appropriate that we’ve got so many representatives of the Light taking the lead right now.

WRATHSOME ASKED:

Normal dungeons clearly scale as I see players with different levels. What about heroic dungeons? Are they tuned to 110 only and, with gear, we will eventually roll through them?

Yep — you can’t access heroic dungeons until your ilvl is 810, and you won’t be able to hit that until after you’re level 110. They don’t scale with your gear, so as your gear gets better, it’ll get easier to complete heroics over time.

ORRINE ASKED:

I seem to have a problem. I’ve done first level of Artifact Knowledge research and my artifact says it gets 25% more Artifact Power. However when I consume Atifact Power, it gives only what Relic says. For example, Enchanted Nightborne Coin gives 100 ArtifactPower. Is it bug or am I doing something wrong?

If you’ve got a stockpile of Artifact Power items you picked up before your Artifact Knowledge was complete, they aren’t going to be affected by the bonus. The bonus only increases items and Artifact Power you gain after it’s been unlocked. Otherwise, people might be tempted to just save all their Artifact Power and ignore their weapon entirely until after they’ve hit 110, which…isn’t ideal at all!

JPEC07 ASKED:

Q4tQ: Now that people are starting to get to the endgame for Legion, what parts of the gameplay (if any) stand out as the most monotonous?

…nothing, really. Or at least nothing in my experience so far — keep in mind I haven’t been 110 very long, so I haven’t hit the point where anything feels particularly monotonous yet. The only thing that’s been a pain has been waiting in dungeon queues, but that’s mostly because I play a DPS class, so the queue is long and fairly annoying. That’s been the standard for as long as I can remember though, and there is plenty of world content and quests to keep me occupied while I’m waiting for said dungeon queue to pop.

TOMATOBUCKET ASKED:

Flying past the peak of serenity annnd it’s on fel fire. When did that happen?

Well, I don’t really want to give anything away here. But if you have a Monk character and you start in on Legion content, you’ll find out soon enough. It’s actually reflected for all classes, as long as you’re the appropriate level (100+) to see it — my Shaman flew over the area and saw what you described, and she’s…well, obviously not a Monk at all!

That’s it for today’s Queue — if you have any questions you’d like to see answered, be sure to leave them in the comments below!
