The Queue: It’s 2020 forever

Sorry, kids. Looks like time broke in 2020. We’re stuck in Groundhog Day: The Groundhog Year, forever repeating the same pandemic, the same chaos, the same crisis after crisis after crisis. The events change, but the song remains the same as we repeat 2020 forever. Heck, they’re even calling it 2022, as in 2020 2 — it’s a sequel no one asked for.

It’s the Queue. It’s 2020 2: Less Than Electric Boogaloo. Let’s do.

The Queue: Modern beats Retro… but at what cost?

This month’s Splatfest was a bit of a different one. Not only did it use a revamped system to determine the winner (Clout instead of matches won), it also resulted in the first win for Marina in a long time. Unfortunately, it also happened to be the Splatfest where I’ve been the most genuinely angry at the game.

When 11:00 p.m. rolled around, I had an hour left to get in just a couple wins. I figured I’d be done in 20-30 minutes tops. So, naturally, I wound up going on a 7-game losing streak where the matchmaking consistently placed me against teams that were rated higher. I don’t know why, but it frustrated me to no end. I finally hit Queen (the max Splatfest rank) at 11:57 p.m.. I was not a happy camper.

Anyhow, that’s literally all for any Nintendo-related anything that we’ll be discussing today. Let’s Queue.

I have to say, despite the hassle at the end, I really enjoyed the Rogue class mount quests. They made me remember why I like playing a Rogue so much — skulking around in the middle of places I definitely should not be. It took a little longer than expected to carry out the last leg of the mission, but it was totally worth it.

…I don’t think I’m going to show my face in Stormwind again for a while, though.

Greetings and salutations, gentle readers. I have returned only to note that change is on the wind. In the vast expanse beyond your being, a time has coalesced and taken form: 9pm Central. This bright and shining future is nigh — in approximately nine hours. Until then, let us not dwell upon events that have yet to be, and instead return to reflect upon your questions, and their corresponding answers. I now return you to this, your regularly scheduled Queue.

…Does anyone else have a sudden headache?

I love the new Castillo map in Overwatch. Or I guess what I should say is that I love all three of the new maps, but Castillo takes place in Sombra’s hideout and it’s my favorite. Not only do you get to take a peek at her computers and scattered equipment, but there’s a big wall of global conspiracy to check out. There are a lot of blank spaces in that diagram, though. Maybe we’ll see them continually get filled in as the year goes on? We’ll have to wait and see.

I ducked into Siege of Orgrimmar to pick up a few missing pieces for my wardrobe, and finally came face-to-chin with Gallywix’s new model. It was an experience I felt needed to be shared, because he’s…certainly…something, isn’t he? You’re welcome. Let’s get to your questions!

Somewhere in Stormheim there exists a Vrykul who has a killer shoe collection and a vanity worthy of any beauty vlogger. Did they build this cozy hideaway out of shame, or because they needed someplace free of distractions and possible disruptions to their recording sessions? More importantly, where can I catch the next Valarjar Emissary cache unboxing vid?
