Some of Oren Windstrider’s quests (part of the short quest chain in the Rockcrawler Chasm in Highmountain that rewards the Skyhorn Nestling pet) mention drogbar using their giant worms as siege mounts, riding into battle atop their backs. Is this shown anywhere in-game, or is it just mentioned in these few quests?
I don’t think we ever see the drogbar riding their worms, no. However, we do see them using their worms during a siege. When they attack Snowtown Whateversville, their worms are their beasts of war. And in the Neltharion’s Lair, dungeon, Big Mana Worm is one of the bosses.
They’re definitely down with the worms, but we don’t see them being ridden.
how tough has Nithogg been, both fightwise and getting a group together?
With the Group Finder geature, getting a group is trivial. And the fight is trivial, too. Nithogg is nothing like the hard-as-nails world bosses of old. They’re much more like your standard elite mob, except they want you to have a raid group rather than a party. As a DPS player when I fought him, I didn’t feel like I needed a healer. All damage was avoidable by paying attention. If I took any damage, it was entirely my own fault. Raid bosses typically aren’t made that way anymore. Nithogg was definitely on the easy end of things.
Will the other world bosses be harder? Who knows. But Nithogg was super simple.
I have mining/engineering on my main (Nelf rogue) and find engineering really boring but i LOVE being able to use the AH in Dalaran. I prefer herb/alchemy fun wise. But still want to use the AH. I have no alts on the server. Thoughts?
Honestly, just do your auctioning in another city. Dalaran has portals to everywhere and you have a dedicated Dalaran hearthstone. It takes almost no extra time to portal to Stormwind/Orgrimmar and portal back. You can ever set your main hearthstone to an inn in Dalaran to have two hearthstones back. So you could be in Stormheim, hearth to Dalaran, portal to Stormwind, hearth back to Dalaran again.
Once I finish my Class Hall upgrades, will I still need lots and lots of resources for things? Or just missions?
As far as I can tell, no. I’ll have many thousands of resources left after I get my last upgrade and I think they’re only used for missions and Seals of Broken Fate at that point. There are the upgrade items for your class hall set, but those only go up to 840, which you can surpass with gear from elsewhere.
If you really want three Seals of Broken Fate per week, that comes out to something like 7,000 Order Resources, so there’s that.
When I take a flight from Dalaran, it chooses a random mount from my selected favorites. When it chooses the Obsidian Nightwing or Sandstone Drake, exactly who is driving?
