Legendary changes coming soon to Hearthstone
Some new changes are coming to Hearthstone! Nope, nothing quite to do with game play changes. There are no nerfs or buffs to any cards, but there will be buffs to how you acquire Legendary cards from opening Hearthstone packs. With the release of the next expansion, whenever you open a Legendary in a card pack, it’ll be a Legendary card from that set that you don’t own. In other words, no duplicate legendaries until you own either the golden or non-golden version of it. But not just that, this applies to other rarities. We won’t open more copies of any card in a pack that can be used in a single deck. So it’ll be impossible to rip open three or more of a common, a rare, or an epic in a pack.
Speaking of Legendaries, in the next expansion you will be guaranteed a Legendary within the first 10 packs of a new set.
To help kick this off, they’re launching the Greater Crater Promotion! Starting in the next few days, a limited time promotion for Journey to Un’goro card pack bundles will be available where the price remains the same but the number of packs will increase.
- Original: 7 packs, Promotion: 9 packs
- Original: 15 packs, Promotion: 20 packs
- Original: 40 packs, Promotion: 52 packs
- Original: 60 packs, Promotion: 78 packs
