What was your best surprise loot drop?

I have many, many goals for all my characters. Item upgrades, toy drops, reputation unlocks, gold-making targets, weekly raid clears, – you get the idea. When I achieve one of those goals, it should be a celebration, but it’s a bit more like checking things off a list and moving on to the next goal.

This is where random drops in the game come in, I suppose. While we hate to be at the mercy of the RNG, it feels special when something we want does finally drop. For example, I was running Mists of Pandaria Timewalking Dungeons this last weekend with my guild and on the third run the Reins of the Infinite Timereaver dropped for me off a boss. My very own dragon mount! I didn’t even know this was a possibility.

It was a great feeling. Like winning the lottery. (No, not that lottery…) I didn’t expect it, so when it happened it was a pleasant surprise. I suppose if you’re trying to work the RNG system it’s frustrating (I’m looking at you, Legion Legendaries), but when it just…happens, well, it’s like Christmas, uh, Winterveil came early.
