When does Overwatch 2 Season 11 start?

As we settle into the new underground meta of Season 10, Overwatch 2 players should mark their calendars for the summertime. Season 11 is on the horizon, bringing with it a fresh Battle Pass, new possible events and tie-ins, and new rewards to be won. Based on the usual nine-week schedule, we can expect to have Season 11 kick off on June 18. What might be ahead? Some things have already been confirmed, but a lot is still up in the air.

One thing we know for sure is that we’ll be getting a new Push game mode map in this season. Runasapi is set in Peru, which likely means there are going to be some teasers about support hero Ilari’s backstory to be found in the environment. Colosseo, one of the existing Push maps, will also be getting a revamp in Season 11. The latest developer update suggests that tweaks could be forthcoming for several other maps — Dorado, Circuit Royale, Havana, and Numbani — but it didn’t give a specific timeline for when those changes would be rolling out.

Beyond that, I’m mostly speculating. Season 11 should include the Summer Games event, so fans of Lucioball and Winston’s Beach Volleyball have plenty to look forward to. I’m also hoping for an unexpected theme to the Battle Pass this time around. Most of the recent seasonal themes have centered on whatever limited-time event was happening during the phase; Season 8 was all about beast hunters, Season 9 had the cosmic horror vibe, and Season 10 centered on Mirrorwatch. I haven’t heard any whispers about what’s coming in Season 11, so I’m going to freestyle my dream ideas.

First up: flowers. With so many scientists in the hero lineup, I want a total botany theme to the skins. Trees, shrubs, flowers, moss, there’s loads of green goodness that could become verdant skins.

Second up: Fallout crossover. Blizzard and Bethesda are technically both under the Microsoft umbrella now, so why the heck not? Picture Zarya in power armor, Echo as an assaultron, D.Va piloting a Mr. Handy mech. “Overwatch, Overwatch never changes.” A girl can dream, right?

Stay tuned here for more updates as we get them.
