Now live! Guild Wars 2 beta weekend focuses on testing spears (and all of the new combat abilities that come with them)

This weekend Guild Wars 2 is beta testing the upcoming Janthir Wilds expansion, focusing on the new spear weapon type (now available for land-based combat) and its abilities across all professions. The beta is live now and runs through June 30. The beta is available to all players — no invite necessary — so don’t let yourself fall for any convoluted beta scams.

To participate in the beta, you just need to have a Guild Wars 2 account in good standing — free accounts qualify. Simply open the Guild Wars 2 client and look for a character slot labeled “beta.” Select it to create a beta character of any profession, where you’ll be able to test out the new spear skills.
