Where to find all of the Renown quartermasters in The War Within — including the new K’aresh Trust Renown!

There are six main Renown factions in The War Within that players can earn reputation with. Much like the other Renown factions in World of Warcrafteach of these groups will primarily occupy one zone and be introduced as the player moves throughout the expansion — as you play, you’ll earn Renown to unlock rewards with each, but you have to know where to find their Renown quartermasters first.

The four factions located throughout the original Khaz Algar zones are the Council of Dornogal, Assembly of the Deeps, Hallowfall Arathi, and the Severed Threads. Patch 11.1 introduced the Cartels of Undermine, a collection of individual goblin groups throughout the Undermine zone. The K’aresh Trust is the latest Renown faction added in the new patch 11.2 and occupy the K’aresh zone.

Each faction has an unlocking point during the zone story questline at which point players will begin earning reputation and Renown levels, as well as gaining access to each faction’s quartermaster and their specific rewards. Here is where to find each of the new Renown quartermasters in The War Within, starting with the newest: the K’aresh Trust.

K’aresh Trust

Tazavesh, the Veiled Market is a now mostly peaceful area in patch 11.2 and the location of the K’aresh Trust quartermaster, Om’sirik. Om’sirik is stationed behind a window inside Tazarest, a building located in the northern part of the market. You’ll meet Om’sirik as part of the 11.2 campaign quest, What Is Left of Home, while meeting other important NPCs.

Cartels of Undermine

Smaks Topskimmer is the lone quartermaster that handles all Cartels of Undermine rewards. He is set up in the lobby of the Incontinental Hotel in Undermine, the large building right in the middle of the zone.

Council of Dornogal

The Council of Dornogal faction opens up when you complete Impossible Odds as part of the opening questline in the Isle of Dorn zone. The faction quartermaster, Auditor Balwurz, can be found in the Foundation Hall of Dornogal overlooking the four council seats.

Assembly of the Deeps

Waxmonger Squick is the quartermaster for the Assembly of the Deeps faction and can be found near the flight master in Gundargaz, the sanctuary area of the Ringing Deeps zone. Complete the Back to Gundargaz quest to unlock Squick and the Assembly of the Deeps faction. After you complete the The War Within campaign another Assembly of the Deeps quartermaster, Waxmonger Quiwick, appears next to Auditor Balwurz in Dornogal’s Foundation Hall.

Hallowfall Arathi

Auralia Steelstrike represents the Hallowfall Arathi and is found inside the tent at the base of a large wall underneath Mereldar’s flight master. Once you complete The Light of the Dawntower quest, you’ll be able to access her vendor rewards. Completing the Hallowfall story quests will make Auralia move to middle of Mereldar in the town square. Her former position will then be occupied by an Arathi NPC who will inform you of her new location.

Severed Threads

The Severed Threads quartermaster, Y’tekhi, can be found in the middle of Azj-Kahet in The Weaver’s Lair sanctuary. When players complete The Tangled Web quest for The Weaver, Y’tekhi’s wares become available. During the post-campaign, Lady Vinazian will also appear near Y’tekhi to help out with quartermaster duties.

Earning extra reputation with The War Within factions

Each quartermaster also sells Technique: Contracts, consumable items created through Inscription that grant extra reputation when you complete a Khaz Algar world quest. Using this contract applies to your entire Warband and lasts through the weekly reset. In other words, your entire Warband can earn extra reputation with one faction per week only.

Purchasing each technique from a quartermaster costs 150 Artisan’s Acuity, and requires Khaz Algar Inscription level 35, a specific Renown level with the faction you’re making the contract for, and specific materials to make each contract::
