Make it to the Major Leagues of Night City in the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 board game

Have you lived the mean streets of Night City? Do you yearn for more chrome? Know what an eddie is? Then you may be intrigued to hear that there’s a new crowdfunding project in town, one to bring Cyberpunk 2077 to your board game table. Billed as a fast-paced, cooperative, story-driven tactical action game, the Cyberpunk 2077 board game lets you take control of videogame favorites Jackie Welles, Panam Palmer, Judy Alvarez, or one of two flavors of V to take on the Arasaka corporation.

Featuring 13 story missions plus a randomized mission generator, the game promises dozens of hours of play. Gameplay supports one to four players at a time, over an estimated 75 minutes per session, and appears to feature an intriguing combination of tactical positioning on a customizable mission board as well as a measure of deck building to represent your cyberware, weapons, crafted gear, and quickhacks. Make tough choices in the various story events you encounter along the way and deal with the consequences like only a legend can. The real-time time limit for each mission promises to keep things from dragging on, as cooperative tactical games often can.

You can find the crowdfunding project on GameFound, where it reached its funding goals in a very impressive ten minutes. Currently sitting pretty at two and a half million dollars of funding, you don’t need to worry about the project failing to meet its funding goals. You can instead focus on deciding whether you want the standard edition or the deluxe edition, which comes with some extra stretch goals and some impressive-looking plastic miniatures in addition to the standard paperboard tokens. Cyberpunk 2077 is published by Go On Board, and its crowdfunding campaign ends on September 20, with a shipping goal of December 2025. So get on out there and become an edgerunner that Night City will never forget.
