How to complete the Spreading the Light world event in Hallowfall

Spreading the Light is an open world event that becomes available in Hallowfall after completing the World of Warcraft: The War Within main story campaign. Each Khaz Algar zone has a public event that ties in to the zone’s overall aesthetic and themes and as the name suggests, Spreading the Light requires players to help the Arathi keep their Holy Flames lit to protect their people and beat back the enemies lurking in the dark.

Here’s how to complete Spreading the Light and what you earn for helping the Arathi!

How to complete Spreading the Light

When you hit Renown rank 3 with the Hallowfall Arathi, Spreading the Light unlocks in the northeast area of Hallowfall near Light’s Blooming and the Hillhelm Family Farm. The weekly quest associated with the event is also called Spreading the Light and it has two objectives you need to do to complete the event:

• 4 Lesser Key Flames Activated
• Radiant Remnant collected from creatures (optional)

While the larger Keyflames bonfire might immediately draw your attention, the actual targets are the smaller Lesser Key Flames braziers spread throughout the farm area and marked on your mini-map as yellow objective dots when you get close enough to one. Each Lesser Key Flame needs three Radiant Remnant to activate it and you can collect these Remnants by killing the enemies in the event area. You’ll need 12 Radiant Remnant overall to complete the event. Doing the daily quests and bonus quests (if they’re active) is a good way to farm Radiant Remnants.

Daily quests

When you activate the Lesser Key Flames, Arathi NPCs will spawn and offer you blue daily quests that aren’t needed to complete the weekly Spreading the Light quest and can be completed even after you’ve finished it. Completing the daily quests from the Lesser Keyflames will reward you with gold, 200 Hallowfall Arathi reputation, and a Lamplighter’s Supply Satchel that contains 5 Valorstones and a random amount (around ~20) of Resonance Crystals.

Bonus quests

Feeding the larger Keyflames 20 Radiant Remnants causes them to light up for 20 minutes which starts timed bonus quests to happen in the Spreading the Light event area. These quests aren’t needed to complete the event but if you do them, you can earn another Lamplighter’s Satchel and 200 Resonance Crystals. Once the timer ends, the Keyflame goes out and an elite enemy will spawn and reward some extra reputation for killing it.

Rewards you can earn from Spreading the Light weekly quest

Activating four Lesser Keyflames completes the weekly Spreading the Light quest, rewarding you 1000 reputation with the Hallowfall Arathi and Radiant Cache that includes:

• An ilvl 571 Adventurer gear piece (if it’s one of the first two weekly caches you’ve completed)
• A Restored Coffer Key (if it’s one of the first four weekly caches you’ve completed)
• 5 Carved Harbinger Crests
• A random amount of both Valorstones and gold
