World of Warcraft, Diablo 4, and Overwatch 2 all have Twitch drops this week from your favorite streamers

World of Warcraft‘s 20th Anniversary starts this week and Twitch is getting involved with the festivities. Watch four hours of eligible World of Warcraft streams between October 22, 10am PDT and November 5 10am PST to earn the Sand Scarab battle pet. This battle pet has previously only been available as a reward from the late lamented Trading Card Game so this is the first time players will have a chance to get it.

Diablo 4 is celebrating the launch of Vessel of Hatred with four weeks of Twitch drops and rewards for purchasing/gifting subscriptions. Week three’s Twitch drops are the Executioner’s Reach Two-Handed Bow Item Cosmetic and the Guise of the Eaglecaller Back Trophy. The Rogue drops can be earned by watching eligible Diablo 4 streams between 10am PDT on October 22, 2024 and 9:59am PDT on October 29 for three hours (weapon) and six hours (back trophy).

In addition there is a new mount and mount armor that can be earned by supporting your favorite streamers during the launch period. The Ghost of the Conquered Mount and the Glory of the Victor Mount Armor can be earned as part of the Support the Streamer campaign; purchase two (to earn mount) or four (to earn mount and armor) total Twitch subscriptions (either for yourself or for another viewer) during any Diablo 4 stream between October 8, 2024 10am PDT and November 5, 2024 9:59am PST and you’ll receive a code to add the mount and armor to your account (instructions below).

Finally, Overwatch 2 players are able to earn the Jester Sombra Skin and associated accessories by watching participating streams between October 15, 2024 11am PDT and October 26, 2024 11:58pm PDT for 10 hours. These items were originally part of the Overwatch 2 Founders pack and also have been on the shop in the past. Besides the skin you’ll get the Marionette Spray for watching three hours and the Marionette Emote for watching six hours.

Here’s how to earn the Sand Scarab in World of Warcraft, the Vessel of Hatred cosmetics and mounts and the Overwatch 2 items starting with linking your Battle.net account to Twitch.

How to connect your Battle.net account to your Twitch account

It’s a straightforward process that will only require logging into Twitch and then going to your Battle.net settings — but keep your Battle.net Authenticator handy if you use one.

1. Login to your Twitch account.
2. Go to the Battle.net Connections pane. If you’re not already logged into your Battle.net account, you’ll be prompted to do so.
3. Scroll until you find the Twitch option, and click +Connect.
4. Follow the instructions.
5. Watch the streams.

Twitch channels that have drops active are labeled as such (there’s a “Drops Enabled” message near the stream categories). A great way to keep track of your progress is at the Twitch Drops Inventory page, which constantly updates with how close you are to earning the drop.

Once you finish watching for the required amount of time, a clickable message will pop up in the stream chat telling you that your drop is ready to be claimed, or you can claim it via the Drops Inventory page. You’ll receive the confirmation that you got it at that time, and you can always check the Drops Inventory page later to review successful acquisition.

Note that the rewards are independent of possessing or playing the game in question — they’re associated with your Battle.net account so they’ll be available when you play the game.
