Get ready for the Siren Isle! The War Within patch 11.0.7 release date is December 2024!
World of Warcraft is maintaining an aggressive content schedule through the end of 2024, with patch 11.0.7 launching earlier than we expected: the WoW patch 11.0.7 release date is December 17, 2024. It’s available on the PTR right now if you want to check it out in advance.
We expected the patch would go live in early January, but instead WoW patch 11.1: Undermine(d) will be launching in winter 2025 — likely February. Another patch in 2024 gives us quite a bit of Warcraft content this year, with more on deck soon.
What’s in patch 11.0.7?
The latest patch sends us to the Siren Isle, which is very reminiscent of the Forbidden Reach: a mysterious island with regular invasions to fight off and secrets to uncover. We can look forward to finding new mounts, pets, and transmog, as well as earning a new ring (Cyrce’s Circlet) that can be upgraded with gems you’ll find on the island. As well as uncovering the story of this strange new locale, the patch will include a story epilogue for 11.0 and a prologue for 11.1.
There are also new character customization options, with Humans and Kul Tirans getting a new Arathi-style pointed ear option. No word on additional customizations, but Blizzard seems to be adding a few new things with every patch.
Another Plunderstorm is also on the horizon, including new rewards and a currency to buy them rather than a reputation track, which will make it easier to pick and choose the rewards you want. Turbulent Timeways will also return, with a multi-week Timewalking extravaganza to enjoy. Plunderstorm is scheduled to start in early 2025, while there is no date for Turbulent Timeways yet. Both are likely to arrive early next year, after the holiday season.
