Earn a transmog crown with purple roses by streaming World of Warcraft on Discord
Don’t miss your chance to grab a unique World of Warcraft helm transmog by completing a Discord quest before the window expires! By streaming yourself playing WoW to at least one viewer for fifteen minutes, you’ll receive the Crown of the Violet Rose, a silver and magenta tiara with purple roses. It shares a model with three other Trading Post crown transmogs. This promotion is part of the World of Warcraft Mountain Dew crossover which is ongoing.
Discord quests exist in the same realm as Twitch drops. Instead of receiving an in-game reward by tuning into your favorite streamer, you’re the one doing the streaming. The quest can be done in a voice call or channel, so you can stream to a group of friends or in a one-on-one setting within a direct message. You don’t need a fancy setup or even a camera or microphone. Start by accepting the quest on Discord, which are now under your ‘Discover’ tab at the bottom of your list of servers.
Once you’re streaming, you’ll be able to check your progress towards completing the quest in the Discord client. After the fifteen minutes is complete, you’ll get a pop-up with a redemption code. Copy the code and paste it into the ‘Redeem Code’ page on the Battle.net client and the helm will be automatically added to your transmog wardrobe.
There are some pesky restrictions for these quests. You’ll need to use the Discord desktop app rather than the mobile or browser versions, although it does look like quest support on mobile is coming soon. The reward is only available for players on PC, and you’ll only be able to complete the quest and earn a code in the United States (although the code itself can be redeemed outside the US). You can read more and follow a handy step-by-step guide on Discord’s quest page.
If you’re a transmog collector, I recommend trying this out — you have until the quest ends on Monday, December 9. Feel free to join the Blizzard Watch Discord server and stream in voice chat after asking someone to join so you’ll have a viewer.
