How to fly on Siren Isle in WoW patch 11.0.7
After the freedom to fly all over Khaz Algar right off the bat in The War Within, it might come as a shock to players to not be able to fly again on the Siren Isle. The good news is, however, that by coming back to Siren Isle and completing a series of weekly time-locked quests, you’ll not only unlock a series of passives that help you explore various places in Siren Isle, you’ll also eventually be able to take flight again.
When you first get to Siren Isle, you’ll find that high winds keep you from safely taking flight on the isle — you’re grounded for now. Starting on the second week of the patch, you’ll get weekly quests like Dipping a Toe that will upgrade your ring and also provide you with a passive to aid in exploration, such as that week’s Blessing of the Seadweller that opens up the seafloor and ocean to you. In week 6, you’ll obtain the quest Cyrce Would Be So Proud, which will power up your ring to its maximum item level and provide you the buff Wings of the Siren, enabling you to fly on Siren Isle as long as your Cyrce’s Circlet is equipped.
A nice change to these time-locked quests is that if you miss a week, you don’t have to worry about waiting longer than other people to fly — as long as a quest’s time gate has passed, it will be available for all players from that point forward. So, for example, if you’re busy over the holidays and don’t get to visit Siren Isle until the 4th quest is available, you’ll be able to go through the first four quests right away, rather than being penalized for having responsibilities outside of the game.
